I stayed here 6 days, this was not my first time staying here. After I shopped from grocery store, I returned to hotel and asked the receptions guy for more soap.
(Mar14 around 2:30PM) He said no. I said soap in English 2 times and said soap in Spanish (Jabón). He said no. The housekeepers were at the reception. One housekeeper was looking at me, I left and walked to the stairs and I put my hotel key out while I go up the stair, the housekeeper, who was looking at me, suddenly turned her head around towards the reception guy and tells him something.
I came into my room and 1 minute later, housekeeper comes to my room and gives me soap and towel. I asked why the reception guy said no. She said the reception guy did not know I was a guest, I clearly heard her saying "no sabia ~". (Piensas que extranjeros no hablan Espanol totalmente?)
I came to reception and told him if he misunderstood that I was not a guest, he should apologize for the mistake. I shopped some groceries and had them without a bag in my arms. That does not justify not apologizing for mistaking a hotel guest as a homeless person.
When I confronted the reception guy, he refused to speak English, so I showed him google translate. He refuses to apologize for his mistake and yells at me "Jabón" three times.
If you made a mistake, then apologize. Why.a grown man does not take responsibility of his mistake? Saying sorry is that difficult? I'm not a homeless, not a street seller, I am a guest...
Read moreThis hotel is very noisy. During the entire afternoon the cleaning staff shouts near the room doors, slams doors and talks loudly on the phone. If it is a break, the room corridor should not be the place for that. In the evening guests and kids shout on the stairs, even at 3 am! Almost every night. This is in addition to the fact that there is very loud music from the street almost every night, at a volume that makes the bass vibrate in the room walls. While noise from outside is not the hotel's responsibility, the hotel should respect its guests who pay money for rest, which is a very basic requirement, set quiet hours (there is no sense in guests shouting and making noise on the stairs after midnight!) and make sure that the cleaning staff does not make so much noise in the corridors and slam doors every few minutes . I have never encountered anything like this in any hotel or hostel. Not even a mall has this amount of noise. Also, I suffered red bites all over my skin and it was over only when I...
Read moreThe hotel is not as it looks on booking. Definitely not 4 star. Walls are dirty and room was freezing. Blankets were not in the room and there's no heating despite conditions at night being cold in Medellin. There 5 floors but no elevators. I was on the 5th floor. Its s good thing I'm still relatively fit.Rooms are not secure. I woke up to find someone had opened my door. The TV in the room had poor picture. Only thing to watch was through netfix. On the day I was checking out the bloke at reception who I'd never seen before tried to charge me one extra day even though Id paid for all days I was there and proved it. He wasn't listening to anything I had to say but was determined to rob me. In the end I just walked out but the delay caused me to miss my flight to Cali. I arrived 4 hours later than planned. I won't be using the...
