This hotel is in an area of Medellin that I absolutely love but unfortunately I am quite unhappy with our stay.
We were given the very last room although this was booked weeks in advance which normally would be fine. However, there had been a few renovations in the bathroom and the smell of glue was very intense the moment we entered the room. People get high on this type of glue and it causes headaches when exposed for long periods of time. Well, even though we complained they had nowhere else to put us and their only solution was to spray cleaner everywhere to mask the smell… obviously a temporary and bad solution.
Needless to say that this situation could have been avoided by either having the renovations done when the room was not to be occupied for several days or not fix it when it’s your last room. Otherwise good location...

To describe it in American terms, its a Marriott hotel at a Motel 6 price. The amenities are top notch and it is literally located a block from several bars, clubs, and restaurants. It is also a short cab ride away from Medellin's main tourist section, El Poblado.
