From the moment I walked into Restaurante La Causa in Laureles, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Every dish I tried was a revelation. The steak was cooked to perfection, the chicken was succulent and flavorful, and the ceviche was a refreshing burst of the sea. Even the non-alcoholic drinks, like their signature lemonade, and the selection of wines were impeccable, complementing each meal beautifully. But what truly set La Causa apart was the service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dinner was more than just a meal; it was a dining delight. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made us feel truly special. I cannot recommend Restaurante La Causa Laureles highly enough. Whether you’re a local or visiting Medellín, make sure to add this extraordinary restaurant to your list. It’s an experience that transcends the ordinary dinner, leaving you eager to return and recommend it to anyone looking for culinary excellence. Absolutely fantastic in every way!

Overall it was a good experience, the place on a Wednesday was full and there were only 3 waiters so you could see that they were overwhelmed so the service was just not good. To find the restaurant it was a bit confusing since the entrance is the same entrance for another restaurant as well. And unfortunately there was a hair in my dish, I showed it to the waitress and she took the plate away and asked me where did I find it, I said on the potatoes so they changed the potatoes and gave me the same steak and at this point it was already cold. There was no apology and nobody came to check if the replacement dish was OK and I couldn't even say that the steak was cold since the entire table that I came with they had all finished and they were waiting on me. The lack of hospitality showed and even as they made a mistake there was no apology and they did absolutely nothing to try to recover me as a client.

The dishes were delicious! The lomo saltado, ceviche and baos are to die for. You can go there to eat with your eyes closed. There are so many options and watching the chefs cooking is amazing! The Moscow mule wasn't enough gingery and sweet to my taste but very refreshing. It tasted more like fresh water actually with sliiiiiiiiight hint of ginger. My only regret is the quality of service. We waited far too long for a server to come and take our order. And there was an incident while collecting the plates. By picking up the dishes waayy too quickly, the waiter poured sauce on my friend and on our table but continued on his way as if nothing had happened. What a pity.

This place had me jaw drop to the floor. Their octopus carpaccio is my favorite! EDIT: I didn’t write about the service before because the two times that I went, the first was good, the second not at all. I thought it was just a bad day but I went back at least 3 more times after and their service is horrible. The waiters don’t pay attention to tables. They take longggggg to attend to you. It’s frustrating and it’s nights that aren’t busy either. They just stand on the bar and chat with each other or with the cooks.

Terrible servicio. I was waiting 15 min for waiter. Additionally 15 min for lemoniada de Cocó. Which was good. They didn't have English menu taking to account that there were a lot of Americans. No waiter was speaking English. I ordered rice with chicken which was tasteless for 40.000. This is sooo overprice. Service was bad but of course we had to pay tip. Ridiculous. Starters cost min 25.000 for tasteless potato and a bit salad on the top. Will never go again. Bill was about 180.000 for bad food.

Same great menu as the one in El Poblado, which btw is my favorite restaurant in Medellin, so I was excited the visit the one in Laureles. Food is prepared exactly the same and the consistency pays off. You will always get a good meal here. The ambience is nice with lush greenery all around. My only issue is the service was a bit off. Our dinner came to the table before the drinks. Bring the manager from Poblado over here to train the staff and this will be perfect.
