Edificio Downtown Lofts — Hotel in Santa Marta

Very mixed feelings about this stay. On one hand, the apartment itself is pretty cool- nice location, well equipped, albeit quite loud (however pretty standard for Colombian standards). There were some shortcomings that made my stay unpleasant:

-check in. I didn’t know you had to upload your passport photo beforehand, so it’s partially my fault. However, I informed the property of my check-in time, arrived exactly on time and ended up locked out in the street for 20 minutes as they were generating the access codes for the doors. One of the codes didn’t work initially so I was stuck in the corridor waiting for a new one. All of my valuables were on me so not ideal.

THERE IS NO HOT WATER. You would expect a serviced apartment with a smart tv, an equipped kitchen, AC and other amenities to also have hot water in the shower- well no, it does not.

-wifi not reliable. It would randomlg disconnect throughout my stay. Usually for a few minutes at a time, bit of a bummer during calls.

-one of the access codes for the door was changed in the middle of my stay. Luckily, my phone had a bit of battery left so I was able to reach out to the host and request the new code. Zero proactivity from them though- if I didn’t reach out first I’d have...

El apartamento es muy lindo y acogedor ideal para 2 personas, lo único que faltaría arreglar es la puerta metálica que falla al abrirla... De resto buena ubicación para caminar, aunque no de noche ya que está cerca de establecimientos que cierran temprano y del mercado. De resto los precios para adquirir transporte como taxi. Exelente y baratos una carrera menos de 20mill en mi experiencia....

El lugar es lindo. Un poco ruidoso un par de horas en la noche. Los deptos son hermosos. Cerca de la playa. No le doy cinco estrellas pues por la noche la zona se hace medio...
