So the hostel is just made up of a few rooms and dorms on a single corridor, there is no common area which means people congregate in the corridor outside your room to talk late into the night, not so great when trying to get to sleep. ||This was compounded by the fact that our room (which was barely bigger than the double Bed inside it) doesn't have 4 proper walls. The wall against the corridor doesn't actually touch the ceiling, meaning when people talk all night in the corridor the sound carries very well into your room. ||Also the mattress was very uncomfortable. ||The host is very nice, so that was a small bonus. ||In all, it wasn't social, it wasn't quiet, it wasn't nice but it was cheap. Read moreThe location is fantastic, a short walk to old town, and all the sights of the city. The owner was very welcoming and friendly, and our room was spacious. Sadly those were the only positives. The floors were dirty, the kitchen had very little crockery (very difficult to cook anything), there were ants everywhere in the kitchen, the toilet was broken, there was no air conditioning, there was a lot of noise from the builders outside (early in the morning), and you could hear everything from the hallway and upstairs due to the thin walls and echos. The small kitchen was very adequate. and there is a full bathroom and another 1/2 bath. very clean except for the light fixtures and the high ceilings had cob webs. all the rooms are on the second floor, though they call it the first.
