Well, I'll start by saying that the hotel probably has average to good rooms, comfortable location, adequate breakfast and well maintained lobby/restaurant.
On the downside, all guests are not getting the same type of accommodation for the same amount of money. The hotel has recently made a vertical addition of rooms on the last floor. The addition is made by steel members (of doubtful structural design) and light drywalls.
If you pay for a room, the hotel does not distinguish between the new additions or the old ones which are probably better.
If you are unlucky enough to be placed to the top extra floor, you will not have an elevator for the last stair flight, you will have no sound or thermal insulation, your room will be vibrating every time a tram or train passes below and you will probably not have any accessible window. You will be staying at a refugee loft, only you're gonna be paying for it 70USD/night.
Also, the rooms are not clean, you can see spiders and spiderwebs on the ceilings and the bed mattresses will kill your back.
About the location... Yes it's located opposite the main train station, but all the rest shops and buildings there are not worthy of passing by. Better choose an accommodation about 1km to the north east, closer to the city central square.
To sum up: not worth its cost. You can go to a much better hotel with a few bucks extra, in...

Read moreMy wife and I stayed 3 nights. Friday, September 20th to Sunday, September 22nd, then 1 night, Thursday September 26th. Pulling a roller carryon bag, along with a small bag, we walked back and forth from the bus station with relative ease. Perhaps a 20 minute walk on fairly decent sidewalks. Check ins, and check outs, went very well. Everyone we met that was working the front desk, were very friendly and helpful. . A joy to visit with. And those working the breakfast area were just as nice to us. Our room was on the 2nd floor, overlooking the Main Street, tram, and train station. It was quite noisy at times. However, with the air conditioning running, and earplugs, it was not an issue for our sleeping. We had 2 single beds, in a decent sized room. The mini fridge was nice. The room was clean, and it smelled good. The beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean, and spacious enough. The hotel is very old, but I absolutely love its charm. To me it looks very nice. The breakfast room was very nice, and spacious. The breakfast itself was wonderful. Plenty of tasty offerings, more than enough for us. The hotel is indeed centrally located, and we walked everywhere from the hotel. A great location for us tourists. I really enjoyed our stays. If the price was right once again, I would certainly stay...
