We booked a 30m2 studio with a sea view from Villa Bonaca to spend our holiday in Dubrovnik. I also requested for the transport from the airport to the accommodation which was kindly arranged at a very reasonable price. ||Remember: Bonaca is not a hotel, it is more like staying in your friend's house. The studio is very spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. In the kitchenette there are available all necessary items to prepare breakfasts or other meals. The aircon works very well. WiFi was mostly fast, only during the thunderstorm it was down for a while. ||Just around the corner you can find a small market and in the neighbourhood there is also 24h bakery and within 1 km range there are many restaurants and bars. Nearest beach (very nice "Bellevue") is only about 300 m away. ||Old town of Dubrovnik is 1,8 kms away. Getting there by walking is easy, because it is downhill almost all the way. It also means that when you come back uphill with tired legs and stomach full the route might feel a bit long. But if you don't like walking, bus stop can be found about 500 m from the villa. Buses go frequently and the price is cheap.||So, when looking for a nice place to stay I strongly recommend Villa Bonaca. For a reasonable price you get a really good stay with very nice hosts; they are really friendly and...
Read moreWe arrived in Dubrovnik by bus from Split, from the main bus station we got a taxi which took us near to the apartment, which can be a bit hard to find. The location is described as a short walk into the centre of Dubrovnik old town. It is not an easy walk though especially coming back as it is up a very steep hill. We walked it several times and whilst the views are very interesting it is a very tiring walk! ||The apartment is quite spacious and also very quiet enabling a good nights sleep. It had a shared kitchen, which worked out ok for us because for most of the time that we were there we had the kitchen to ourselves. There is a separate bathroom which is not shared but is separate from the main accommodation but that did not pose any problems. There is a small supermarket very close, which sold most things that you might need bread milk etc. ||The owner and her family are very friendly and helpful they live in other parts of the building. We had a seaview, which was really nice. Wi...
Read moreWe spent two weeks here and it was incredible. The location is superb, as you are half way between the old town and the port, each about 15 minutes away by foot, or a very quick bus ride if you are feeling weary! Two beaches are two minutes walk away, there is a supermarket practically next door, a bakery and several bars and restaurants close by.||The hosts were superb - we had a lovely warm welcome and were treated to a delicious meal of traditional food. They were incredibly friendly and could not have been more helpful. ||The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a balcony and sea view. A wonderful place to stay - highly recommended if you are...
