Eight Roses proved to be an excellent choice as a base for us to explore Dubrovnik and the surrounding regions. We had allocated five days in Dubrovnik with two reserved for day trips to Bosnia and Montenegro. It is a lovely scenic 15-20 minutes walk from the guest house to Dubrovnik Old Town. ||Nothing fancy yet it oozes a certain homeliness and welcome. The place is maintained by nuns. Rooms are clean and kitchen amenities adequate. Towels are changed every three days but you can request for fresh ones if you need them. Better to use machines in the evening/night. Make sure lint is removed before operating the dryer. ||Nice cozy table with 2 chairs outside each room.||Must bring mosquito spray if you are prone to bites. The room has a plugged in one. The walls are solid so it’s very quiet in between rooms. ||There are nuns around doing gardening & their own laundry. But there is a lady who is rostered to clean/prepare the rooms. ||Street walking into old town about 25 minutes. Follow the footpath...
