We expected much more from the Teppanyaki service and we'll never come back: an expensive tourist trap with salty food; just pay for the show.
The evening began with the menu, starting at 100€, a 5 plates service not including water. The chef Pratap started doing his show playing around with the spatulas and encouraging the public to record him.
The first plate was a mix of sushi, honestly the worst sushi I've ever tasted in a restaurant: dry Wakame, flavorless Amaebi and hard octopus, followed by a simple crabstick sushi. This was not prepared in front of us, it was just brought from the kitchen.
The second plate was some duck gyozas, where the chef presented the duck meat as being highly exclusive and moments later drowned the product in a vinegar-soy sauce. Turning the final product into a salty gyoza hiding all the meat flavours he previously bragged about.
The third plate was more of the same, a beautiful scallop which the chef covered in an unnecessary amount of salt hiding any original flavours. At this point, we where on the third bottle of water after such salty food and remember the water is not included (5,60€ per bottle).
The fourth plate was a fish fillet with some veggies being the top of the menu. The fish was nothing special and was submerged in a white sauce. At this point we started doubting the freshness and quality of the products.
We had an extra tasting plate of fried rice, which may be the most interesting and original part of the menu.
The menu ended with a cheesecake which was quite good. It's a shame that the best part of the menu doesn't involve the iron griddle.
At least we had some fun from...
Read moreWe visited the teppanyaki in Rixos for my daughter birthday and the service was absolutely amazing, however I felt like we were really rushed with the food. It was 5 courses and they were made one after the other so you didn't have time to enjoy and digest the food.
I personally think 4 courses is enough the scallops were not required and they didn't taste great.
They should also make the booking 2.5 hours rather than 2 hours. With another booking 2 hours after ours we were asked to move for the final course 1.5 hours after our seating.
I'm feeling very mixed about the whole experience. It was alot of money aswell so just thought it could have been better than it was
The view was amazing and the chef was great to. He engaged with us...
Read moreThe 4 of us went for tepanyaki tonight. Food was very good (except sushi 3/10) but the service was miserable and highly unprofessional. Just to mention a few examples: When we asked for the missing sashimi for the starter we have been told to speak to the chef of cuisine. My wife than insisted on a feedback of the waiter, making him very angry and ignoring her for the rest of the night. So to say, she had an empty glas for two hours, whereas the gentleman were offered another beer. When it started to rain, no one asked if it is ok if we get wet, even though there would have been plenty of space to move the tabels. For dessert neither coffee nor tea was offered. Cannot recommend if you want to spend a...
