This literally is a hidden gem. I travel for work, airline crew, and I stay in a lot of hotels all over the world. All is ask for is a comfortable bed, clean room and good shower. This place over exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we were met by Elena, the manager. Elena walked us to our rooms, ensured we had her number on WhatsApp, and answered all of our questions. Elena was and is amazing. Warm, kind and knowledgeable . Elena helped us with recommendations and directions, do's and don'ts. We were provided breakfast vouchers for Breakfast. It's at a regular restaurant up the street, about a 5 minute walk. It's in a beautiful square overlooking the water. You pick two items, and you get a cup of coffee and OJ. The breakfast was really good. |The room itself was heaven. "Triple" pained windows, and stone walls. You can't hear a peep. Beds are super comfortable, nice shower (heats up fast) and very clean. Did I say very clean!!!! Wifi works really well. They provide a safe in the room (which I never felt unsafe) coffee/tea. The air conditioning works really well too. Just takes a few minutes to cool down the room, but you won't be disappointed. |There are several restaurants downstairs (literally) sports bars, bakeries, and ice cream shops everywhere. You won't go hungry. Several little markets to buy food. You are in the center of everything. Everything is within walking distance from here. location location location. You're a 5-10 minute walk from the water. If you take an excursion to Plitvice Lakes, the office and meeting place is a 10-15 minute walk. Gray line tours. I highly recommend this Nesco National Park. Look it up. I don't recommend going on the weekend. It will be packed wall to wall. We practically had the place to ourselves on a Monday. Wow is all I have to say. The bus was big and really comfortable. It's a big luxury bus. Purchase the ticket with the tour. |I'd recommend anyone to Priska Luxury Rooms. I've written a handful of bad reviews over the last 30 years of my travels. This ranks in the top 10 of all my travels, and Id definitely come back. Thanks Elena for making our trip so memorable. I'd contact her directly for information next time around. Just saying. Did I say directly? It will work to your advantage. || Safe travels everyone, hope you like Split as much as we did. PS, don't use the local ATMS and banks. You will get ripped off. Conversion fees, which are normal and 13-15% convenance fee+ commission. I'll never make that mistake again. If you're coming from the States, get your Euro through your own banks. Or if you're desperate, believe it or not, exchange your currency with a Currency exchange office (NOT IN THE AIRPORT) but definitely in Split. Their usually located next to the banks. They give you a better rate for your cash then the banks or ATMS believe it or not, they don't take a commission fee....
Read moreFrom the minute we booked this hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful. We had the hotel's driver collect us from the airport with a personalised sign. The lovely receptionist at the hotel was there to meet us as soon as we arrived at the hotel and carried all our cases upstairs for us. ||||Our room was absolutely stunning and was to the highest standards of cleanliness. There was free tea, coffee and biscuits in the reception and whenever we asked for advice or how to get to certain places, they were very helpful. Whenever we asked for our room to be made up, it was always done to the highest standards. ||||It was ideally located near the theatre & 'cat garden' and around a 7 minute walk from Split Harbour. The best bakery and ice cream shop in split was right on our doorstep as well as lots of good value bars and restaurants. On the day we were leaving, we checked out of our room and they kept all our bags there for us until 7pm and they also booked us a return taxi back at the end of our holiday. ||||The customer service was second to none and at this hotel and the staff were the friendliest i've ever know...
Read moreDon’t let the exterior setting of the building scare you. It’s a bit intimidating when you first find the pedestrian street and see the entrance hall of the accommodation, but once inside, on the first floor you’ll find a spacious & luxurious room with a very friendly receptionist. You can make coffee in the central hallway and a complimentary bottle of sparkling water was offered in the mini fridge. We booked without breakfast, as we wanted to get up at our own pace and there were plenty of breakfast options in the neigbourhood. Having stayed for 3 nights, we thought this was more than long enough to visit Split and the surrounding sights like the Klis fortress for example. If you prefer some luxury at an affordable rate, this is a good option...
