(was there on the 1st till the 8th of July 2017)
The Limanaki Beach Hotel is a beautiful and modern looking hotel that's just 10-15 minutes walk from the strip. Has an outdoor pool with sunbeds so you can just chill and relax and then walk straight from the pool to the limanaki beach within minutes. Friendly staff all around at the hotel and they make you feel welcome and at home (except 1 maid named Anka who tried to shout at me for wanting to go into my room while she was cleaning and then again because we brought some KFC back with us, needs to get fired in all honesty) but other than that, the staff was very helpful and made my stay a treat. One problem I did have was the cleanliness of the rooms in which that they were cleaned everyday but only what was visible to the human eye so underneath the beds were dust and god knows what else. Also, one of the beds was a fold out bed which was very hard to sleep on but a whole week of partying and drinking away didn't really end up bothering us. Complimentary wine and teas in our rooms also was a plus. Just a note, the internet in the hotel is good but only properly works downstairs in the lounge, in the rooms it would always disconnect or not connect at all. I paid for the high speed internet and same problem occurred but my money was refunded, I stated to them as I have a tech background that there needs to be more than 1 router that is just in the lounge and will need a wifi router on each floor or a wifi repeater in each room. Was told a technician would come to fix the problem but 5 days passed and nothing so I received my refund. Breakfast was included in our stay and the breakfast was very good and had a lot of choice.
All in all, if you get a holiday package and this hotel is part of it or if you feel like you want to give this hotel a go for when you visit Ayia Napa, trust me take it and go. Lovely and...
Read moreIt is a hotel with great location, supermarkets and restaurants are just outside. Our experience with the staff, are that they are nice and polite. We did not eat at the hotel so cant say anything about the food. It is just a few meters to the lovely beach, that says, the beach are lovely if you dont want to swim, the seafloor are the worst I ever has experienced, it is full of big rocks and stones in different sizes and hights, it is nearly impossible to enter the sea. And for doing it even worse, it is extremely longshallow, so you have to balance 50 meters to have a chance to swim at all. We walked allong the whole beach, same over all. But some places they have placed some slippery sandbags you can walk on to enter the water, hopeless!!!! It is a shame since the beaches are so nice and have big potencial. We did not use the swimmingpool at the hotel, as all the beds were reserved by the "towel mafia" at 7 o'clock, the towels were not removed as at almost all other hotels I have visited. Ok! Summary: Pros: This is a great hotel if you wish to stay in a short way to great restaurants and bars in Ayia Napa, the rooms and staff are ok, the beaches are great, if you dont swim. Cons: we were waked up at 06.30 every day, by some "bang" noises!! I think it was something the cleaning staff did, that held on until about 7 am, then it was silence. As mentioned, the seafloor did it nearly impossible to swim, thats a big drawback. At the pool the "towel mafia" can operaty freely from at least 7 am. Buf after all, we had a great vacation in...
Read moreWe stayed at Limanaki Beach Hotel for a week in August 2024 as two families. I booked the hotel after reading good reviews, but unfortunately, I was unpleasantly surprised.
The service in the dining room was terrible and disrespectful. For example, one evening, I arrived at the dining room, which was open, and asked if there was an area with air conditioning or a fan. An employee told me, "If you want good weather, leave Cyprus."
The food was of poor quality, and what was most frustrating was that there was a restaurant outside, and the food served there came from the same kitchen. While eating, servers would pass by with trays of food that looked tasty and delicious, but the food served inside was of much lower quality. There were almost no options for vegetarians; everything was mixed with seafood or pork. The cleanliness level was low.
I had to chase the reception to get my room cleaned.
The pool was filthy, with black dirt particles on the bottom every morning.
The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces, which are almost always occupied. The solution is to get a voucher for a public parking lot across from the hotel. I had to beg for a voucher two days in advance so I wouldn't have to ask for another one at the reception every day.
Bottom line: the only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to the center and the beach. One bright spot was a lovely blonde receptionist (whose name I forgot) who knew how to explain and provide service as a hotel should. I strongly recommend staying away...
