Karousos Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Ayia Napa

The location is right on the beach and it has a great view. Actually the view it’s so nice that I wanted to get some food and drinks right after booking a cruise. As I mentioned, the restaurant is right on the beach so if you don’t want sand in your shoes the only way to get on the other side is through the restaurant itself. On my way to the harbour an angry man started to shout at my husband to get out from his restaurant and walk around because my husband did not had the T shirt on. On the beach! This man was part of the Karousos Restaurant and obviously does not understand business and the fact that any tourist is a potential client. Also, shouting randomly at people is not appropriate and it could be classed as harassment. Also, if you don’t want people to walk through your restaurant which is ON the beach maybe put some high fences? I have no idea who that man was but if it’s not his own restaurant then good luck for the owner with such staff. As I said, I was on my way to book a cruise and wanted to come back to Karousos for some cocktails and dinner as there were plenty of available tables… With such a great view there is no wonder why the restaurant is nearly empty when the staff behave like the escaped...

Went here for dinner with my husband and honestly, it was very disappointing. We ordered the grilled tuna and lasagna - both were super mid. The tuna had no flavor at all, just bland and felt like it had been in the freezer forever. The menu did say it was previously frozen, but you'd still expect it to taste decent, not like cheap frozen fish. The salad leaves were turning black, and even the mint in my mojito looked wilted and old (it was also black). The next day, we both had stomach pains, which really made us question the food’s freshness. No one came by to ask how our food was, not once. Maybe they already knew it wasn’t great haha. When I mentioned to the waitress that the tuna wasn’t good, she just said “oh, okay” with a blank face 😐. That was it. Overall, not a great experience. There are so many better spots around with great food and service. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Avoid it if you don’t want to get out of the restaurant hungry and getting stomach aches after!!! We came here to enjoy the birthday meal of a friend. At least the waiters were friendly in the beginning. But it turned out to be my worst experience by far here in Ayja napa. We waited a hour for our food, withput any explanation or a apology. We had to go ask the waiter where our food is, he said 2 minutes. Surprisingly it was just two more minutes. But the food we got was definitely not worth de waiting. The Xxl burger was not even close to xxl, it was so overcooked that the meat was hard, the french fries were raw, it was not even possible to eat them. We paid 32 Euros for a fish platter, it was definitely not big enough for the price, and the quality of it was very unpleasing. A fresh caught fish was the only thing that came in a okay way, but also with half-fried french fries. The italian omelette tasted like absolutely nothing, you could compare it to a deep-fried sponge. I wouldn‘t recommend this restaurant at all, it wasn‘t even worth the one star...
