We stayed at Palace Kutna Hora for 2 nights of a romantic long weekend trip and it was one of the most interesting hotel experiences I had - the hotel building and interior is a true touch of history, not your typical standard boilerplate hotel style - a perfect combination of historical style and comfort.||||The interiors (with minor odd details in the bathrooms) are amazing - we got the tour of most of the rooms, and every single one has a completely different personality and all designed to high standards. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, yet it was still 4 times the size of a regular hotel room. The beds are very comfortable.||||The service was perfect and attentive, a nice breakfast was awaiting us each of the mornings. Thanks a lot to Michal and Dana to make our stay great!||||The hotel does not have a restaurant, but there are several typical Czech restaurants within 2 minutes walking distance - esp. Restaurace V Ruthardce for lunch/dinner and Kozí Kavárna for coffee are amazing.||||For staying in Kutna Hora there is really nothing that comes close and I can highly recommend to anyone (who does not mind walking couple flights of stairs to...
Read moreUnfortunately, as beautiful as the rooms are, the infrastructure is not there. We prepaid the rooms and when we came in, had to lug our luggage 4 flights stairs - no elevator, no bellmen. Once there, the temperature in the rooms was so high (about 40oC/100oF) that we could not stay. No ac. When we tried to get at least some of our money back, we were told that we were wrong, other people don't mind and there would be no refund. We had to leave and find a hotel with air-conditioning. I realize that there is a heat wave in Europe but later, when I enquired about the refund, the staff wrote that they could have had a portable ac put in! No such offer was made to us at the time. Why did they not install the portable ac before we came? They knew how hot it is. There is no front desk, really, someone comes when you call, so it is not really a hotel. As said, the rooms are nice, if you don't mind lugging your luggage, don't need ac or hotel staff, it is fine. I feel we were mislead. If you go, don't prepay. Make sure you see the place first. ||Blanka M Lukes and the...
Read moreStayed here as a family of four for a wedding. Not obvious it is a hotel from the outside but we had a very warm welcome with the host Lucie texting before we arrived. Parking is round the corner and very secure. ||There are only 4 or 5 rooms. The one we had, room 3 was very large - lots of space - plenty for a family of 4. Tastefully decorated with excellent facilities. Breakfast was nice and is served on the first floor. If you are in room one it is right outside your door!||Beds are very comfortable. The only downsides were being central it was a little noisy in the town square and sometimes the water was lukewarm. However the staff are great though bear in mind they are not always in attendance giving this a feel of a residence rather...
