We booked two rooms at the Erika for our Christmas break as we were travelling as two families. We had rooms 9 and 2, both faced the front of the hotel and were a good size, very clean and had newly refurbished bathrooms. ||||Room 9 is the family room compromised of an entrance room / lounge and a separate bedroom with a double bed (be aware that the kids beds are a single sofa bed in the lounge area which is OK for very young kids but not great for older kids) it also has a bath which was nice after a days skiing.||||Room 2 had twin beds and a shower unit and was a good size for the mother and son who shared this room.||||The breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent (in my opinion). The usual mixed hot and cold buffet with a few nice extras most days, lots of choice and an extremely friendly lady called Eva serving and there to help out. The hotel is really more of a restaurant with rooms and the food in the restaurant is very very good but be aware it is also more expensive than any other place we found in town. We ate our Christmas dinner there and all thoroughly enjoyed it. ||||I would stay here again and recommend it for a vacation in Spindle, you can walk from the hotel to the ski schools in three minutes and its location at the end of a cul-de-sac means it is relatively quiet despite its central location. If I manage to get back mountain biking in the summer I will stay...
Read moreThe hotel is in a great location, is in good condition and the family who own it and staff who run it are very friendly and very helpful. ||Hotel: in the center of the very small, very cute town of Špindleruv Mlyn. The hotel is next to/within 100 meters of 5 restaurants, a small store for food/snacks and ski shops. ||Hotel room (room #11): very clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. ||Bathroom: The only negative about our hotel stay was the bathroom. It did not have a a proper shower. Yes, there was a shower nozzle, but you could not shower unless you sat in the tub and held the shower nozzle over your head (there was no wall mount and there was no shower curtain)...this meant there were no showers for our family for two days, manageable, but not ideal. ||Breakfast (Located in the restaurant connected to the hotel but run separately from the hotel): The food was good. There were a lot of choices at breakfast, cereals, yogurts, sliced meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, sausages, fresh vegetables, fruit, fresh baked bread, along with juice and drip coffee. You have the option of purchasing espresso, bottled water, etc. from the bar in...

One of my favourite restaurants anywhere.||||Hotel renovated from last visit. ||Very cosy, pleasant Skandinavin style rooms. ||Breakfast very acceptable range and quality.||All for circa 30 euros for two. ...
