EA HOTEL NEW TOWN REVIEW
In summary, overall 2/5 Details: rooms 4/5, cleanliness 5/5, location 5/5, staff 4/5, parking 4/5,
check in/out and booking handling process 0/5
Rooms, overall one of the room was a good size, very high ceiling, spacious (not true for all rooms), Clean, and renovated!
Parking, they offer a 24 €/day parking at another close by hotel which is 4 mins walk. I think it’s really a good option
Location, I’d say very good location. Convenient and very close to the center
Offered a different room for the same rate, We booked two identical rooms but was given a smaller room with a different bed size/ config because there was not availability .. really ? This is just ridiculous to charge the same amount for a different room. Next day I spoke with front desk manger he said they can move us but need time to get the room ready and will reach out to us but never did so we ended up with the same room
Hotel use their own currency conversion rate (made up rate). We booked directly from their website and I saw the rate in US/EUR/CZK are the same conversion. However, I noticed a discrepancy in the amount charged in CZK during check in time. when I inquired about it, I was told “we have our own hotel conversion rate. I was like ok! Really! Even if you look at the difference in the overall rate it’s like 20€ total but I just believe it’s just ridiculous. If this is the case, why your website conversion is accurate ?
Advice, use CZK currency when you book online to avoid staff made up rate
AC is limited in the temperature range. They let you go -2C from what they set it to

Read moreStaied here 4 nights for about 150euro/night The room was quite small, had comfortable bed, one draw was the only storage space, there was a little fridge and a safe. Breakfast was good and the location was good to explore the center of Prague. TV was not working properly and kept lagging frequently. Shower was not properly sealed off, therefore after having a shower whole bathroom was flooded. The hotel does not provide "do not disturb sign" resulting in cleaners knocking at your door and shouting from behind the door every day at any time in the day. I arrived alone awaiting my partner in couple of days, the receptionist was trying to force me smaller room than I paid for with a single bed and created very uncomfortable situation. Anything we asked from the reception was a problem. During our stay we wanted to have a little map of the city for our walks, well this reception doesn’t have one but they were trying to force us all kinds of leaflets and crapy places to go to. When we checked out and wanted to leave our luggage in the hotel to be collected before going to the airport the receptionist tried to charged us 4 euro an hour for keeping the luggage. In our case he asked for 28 euro, offering a deal for 25 cash only, again this created super uncomfortable situation. Total scam this reception and awful service. Definitely Do not stay here if you expect to be treated with respect and dignity. Thought for the hotel management: The receptionist argues that 4 euro is what people are charged in main train station, for luggage storage. Perhaps they do that because people don't pay 150 euro to spend a...
Read moreWe stayed five nights at this hotel and were booked through Wingbuddy (Canada). The hotel is well situated and convenient, with Wenceslas Square just a short walk away, and the Old Town within a 15 minute walk. The IP Pavlova Hop On/Hop Off stop is also a short distance away, which we used a few times for the Big Bus Tour. Our room overlooked the street below but wasn't particularly noisy at all. The room was spotlessly clean and had a good beverage fridge and a kettle for tea and coffee. W e both found the bed to be comfortable. The shower pressure and temperature were excellent! Note that there wasn't a lot of storage space (drawers, etc.) for unpacking suitcases; additionally, there was no Kleenex provided in the bathroom, so we bought our own at a drugstore. Oddly, there was also no shampoo or conditioner, just liquid hand and shower soap. But we had our own, so that wasn't an issue. ||Breakfast was included in our reservation (not sure if that is standard with all room bookings) and was excellent ... a huge variety of dishes, and the coffee and tea selections were also great. It would have been nice to have the coffee and tea stations available in the evenings too! ||The only issue we faced was in our bathroom: the toilet ran on and on, and sounded like it was pulling air through the pipes ... it could become extremely loud, especially at night! We had to keep the bathroom door closed to block out the sound. ||We would stay here again if we are fortunate enough to visit Prague...
