Andante Hotel — Hotel in Prague

The employees were friendly and nice. Our room was clean and spacious. If you are going to stay long, the room is quite big. There was only YouTube on television. There was a refrigerator and mini bar service in the room. There was a hair dryer, kettle, towels, glasses and cups. The bathroom was clean, there was hot water and the room was warm during our stay. Internet was okay. Everything was fine overall. The breakfast was extremely nice and the options were many. They serve water, coffee and tea at the reception for free. The reception is open 24/7. The location is really good, it is possible to walk to many places, you can also reach public transportation from a 5-minute walk away. 10 minutes walking distance to the train station. It is located on a quiet street. We did not experience any discomfort in our room either. Although everything was not perfect in the hotel, great importance has been given to the decoration and it is pleasant to the eye. You get what you pay for.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights and not once did housekeeping come by. When checking out, I asked the front desk about this, and the staff member apologized, saying we should have been informed at check-in that cleaning is only done upon request. I’m not sure I believe that, though, because one time when we were in the room, a cleaner suddenly opened the door but left immediately after seeing me.

One evening, I asked the front desk for toilet paper — naturally, we had run out. I mentioned that I had to ask because housekeeping hadn’t come. The staff gave me some paper but didn’t explain the cleaning policy or apologize in any way.

As you can imagine, our trash bins were overflowing after four nights with three girls in the room.

The location is far from the main street. The bathroom was dirty and the bath was very small so we can't turn around. The water in the shower was hard to adjust to mild temperature and was broken. The first day was too cold we couldn't sleep because the heating system should be turn on one day before our arrival. The heating system in the bathroom wasn't working. The water couldn't go though the pipe properly so it needs to be fixed They didn't clean the room when we leave and the smell of the trash was disaster The staff wasn't nice Also be careful when you book as they charge you triple the price on booking.com So we screwed out as they benefit from asking them we need to stay extra night. They benefit from that as we cannot move a lot of things and go to other places, so we we asked to stay one more night they took advantage of that and charged us triple the price,...
