Everything was nice but the food...maan... google doesn't give me enough stars to rate it. Superb. My second visit to Prague, I just had to return to Emperor Square. Cuisine is asian fusion with vietnamese roots, bold and subtle flavours mixed together beautifully. I fasted all day just so I can visit the restaurant, knock myself out with some copious amounts of food and sleep 4 hours before my train to Germany. Started with the sea bass ceviche , got a second starter super crispy shrimp with a beautiful wasabi mayo. Very fat delicious shrimps cooked to perfection. My first time I tried Pho for the first time, this dish made me return! After a short discussion with the very antetative waiting staff I decided to go for the Emperor dumpling soup and I have no regrets. Bursting of flavour , mixture of some beautiful marinated and roasted vietnamese style pork belly, boiled egg, shrimps, those big soft dumplings and one of the most surprising noodles I ever had, bright yellow and super flavourful. BIG contender for the Pho. These 2 dishes are the ones that shined the most, they really made my experience WOW. Plus some delicious caramelised pork belly that said enough is enough, no dessert for you young man, you are going straight to sleep. Overall great place, chill people, super nice staff. For me, it's a praguese hidden gem. Last and definetly not least, shoutout to my kitchen brothers! You do a fantastic...
Read moreMy husband and I are skittish when it comes to restaurant that looks like they pay too much attention to decor than quality of their food. Because more than not the food is just okay with 4.6 rating which is false advertising. But… this restaurant had both! The interior design is pretty cool, the walls were decorated like buildings. It was clean and wasn’t over doing it with decorations. It was clean and the noise level was low enough where you can have a conversation. Service was great and food came out pretty quick. I ordered the pho bo with beef and husband ordered the popcorn chicken. The pho bo was absolutely delicious. The broth was clear and hearty, garnished with only green onions. If you’re looking for bean sprouts and all the mint etc, this is not the place. And I usually eat my pho with all the fixings: fish sauce, hoisin, saute peppers, bean sprouts, jalapeno slices and mint… All you really need was the lemon slice, Thai chili pepper and the PICKLED GARLIC and put some of its juices in the pho. The beef was tender and adequate amount, def could have more slices but that doesn’t stop it from getting a 5 star from me. Popcorn chicken was crispy with hints of lemon grass seasoning. If you love lemon grass flavor, definitely give the popcorn chicken a try. It comes with a mayo dipping sauce as well. I...
Read moreUnfortunately I have to rate this place with 1 star. I was really looking forward to have a good experience… The place the decoration looks very nice. But that’s not enough … Service is good, they are very kind and warm , however that’s not enough , especially when they take 1 hour to bring your food! 1 hour! And then , after 1 hour of waiting the food does not have any taste at all!!! What is worse …. After a terrible experience , 1 hour waiting + food no tasty at alll , when I go to pay: they charge me 19 cz crowns additionally for soy sauce ! In a vietnamita restaurant …. They charge me 20 crowns for soy sauce !!!!! That was the cherry on the cake👀
This is a complain yo the owner of the place , not to the employees . As I said, service was good , but of course there was some Problem in the kitchen , maybe few people working or who knows , because for taking 1 hour for bringing Bun Bo nam no , something is really wrong. And also the politic of charging an additional fee for soy sauce , come on ! If you want to eat good vietnamita food just go to the place around your corner that maybe doesn’t look so good and fancy like this, but for sure you will eat tasty food, and won’t have to...
