Stayed here for more than a week. Don't really see a lot of comments/ reviews, so I will.||||Basically a student dormitory, you can use the rooms there (especially in summer holiday) as hostel room. ||It's walking distance to Prazskeho povstani (metro/ tram), there's uphill walk, but I don't think it's that far if you have rolling suitcase You can reduce your walking if you want by using the bus for two stops. The neigbourhood's pretty safe to come to the hostels at night, I believe. I think the gate's closed at night, but you could knock to enter, the receptionist's also there but you have to ring the bell. There's a Tesco opening in long hours near the station for emergency shopping.||||Plus||- It's very cheap if you have ISIC/ student card. Rate for a bed in triple-bed room can be reduced to 140 CZK/ night||- Room's actually very nice, bed's fluffy||- Have some vending machines, including panini(?) one. There's also cafetaria and a club. You have kitchens in every floor as well if you want to cook.||||Minus||- As the previous reviewer said, the bathrooms (and toilets) aren't separated. They don't have lock as well (yes, including the toilet doors). Also no hand soaps, so bring your own. It's quite a surprise.||- In the floor I was in, there's no microwave. I needed to check other floor first to find one. You need to have your own cookery as well.||- There are wi-fi and laundry service, but only for students there, so basically no wi-fi and laundry service.||||* I don't see AC or heating in the room, so can't comment on that + I stayed there in the summer.||||If you don't have student card, as the rate is pretty much the same with other hostels offering free wi-fi. I believe choosing other hostels will be wise. If you have student card and don't mind all the minuses, it's a...
Read moreI booked one night at the hostel. After reading the reviews I was about to cancel it. But I changed my mind! If you know what to expect, you'll be able to cope better. So, the dormitory is old as well as the equipment in the room. The shower and toilets are not male and female. There were plenty of other people, so I didn't feel insecure. There is no chance to make a cup of tea- no kettle. The hallway is a bit noisier when people talking in and from the showers. The reception is in other building. There is a...
Read moreThe young man at the reception was very nice and spoke English well enough. The rooms were also decent and seemed clean. The bathrooms however were horrible. The toilet stalls and showers could not be locked and the toilets themselves were rarely cleaned. We did our best to avoid the bathrooms all together. Despite this, we knew what we were getting ourselved into as this hostel is incredibly cheap and therefore the quality of the hostel was to...
