The location is great with easy access on foot/bike/public transport to the centre, there are nice views of the river, the owner is incredibly freindly and helpful and the price is reasonable. The downsides are that it can get quite cramped with limited space between unmarked pitches and the facilities are a mixture of new (WC) and old (communal tepid showers, kitchen facilities). There is free WiFi (connect speed and quality isn't great) and you don't pay more for the showers. We'd probably stay further out if we visited again and journey in on public transport.

This is a nice camping. We really enjoyed our little chat with the receptionist and his advices for us in the Prague. We had a comfortable tent place. Everybody was chill. Both men and women use the same shower part. Showers are not new and there are no places to put our shampoos etc. but there is enough place for everybody. Wc is OK. I think best of this place is the bar. It is open till 03:00 am. And you can enjoy your night with the river view. Overall if you don't wait for a luxury you would like this camping.

Wir haben vorab reserviert(Mitte September) und das war auch gut so, da der CP wirklich gut mit Womos gefüllt ist. An der Rezeption wird man freundlich empfangen, sagt dass man reserviert hat und stellt sich hin. Bezahlt wird bei der Abreise. Wir hatten einen Platz mit Blick zum Wasser ergattert. Das war sehr schön. Das Sanitärgebäude ist sauber. Die Duschen sind gewöhnungsbedürftig, da die Türen aus Milchglas bestehen, die nicht verriegelbar sind. Eine Dusche könnte ich nicht warm stellen. Die zweite habe ich dann eingestellt bekommen. Sie war wärmer und zweckmäßig. Für Fahrten in die City haben wir uns die App von Bolt runtergeladen und dann unsere Fahrten mit Bolt gebucht. Das war günstig und top, da der CP ansonsten doch ein ganzes Stück von der City entfernt ist. Wir würden den Platz wieder aufsuchen, wenn wir in Prag sind! Update Anfang Oktober: Wir wollten hier auf unserer Rückreise nochmals 2 Nächte bleiben. Also wieder über die Website vor über einer Woche die Anfrage gestellt, ob wir einen Platz bekommen. Daraufhin kommt die automatische Rückmail, dass man am folgenden Tag kontaktiert wird. Als nach 2 Tagen noch immer nichts kam, rief ich da an und fragte nach. Es war eine Frau dran, die mir erklärte, dass sie täglich hundert Emails erhalten und ich abwarten sollte. Auch eine Woche später kam keine Rückmeldung. Schade. Egal ob positiv oder negativ wäre wenigstens eine Rückmeldung zur weiteren Planung schön gewesen. Daher nun ein Stern Abzug 😐

We stayed in September 2018. Friendly helpful reception, all suitable facilties, as tidy as circumstances would permit.. Its layout means camper vans are all in a simple line either side of the central roadway but nice views of the river. The big plus of this site is the ease of getting to city centre. Five minute walk to tram stop. 15 mins ride to tramstop for Karlovy Most and old town, or the other way up to the castle. Tram so cheap and tickets from camping reception. For food shopping there is a Tesco 5 mins drive away with on street parking. Toilets clean and working as they should. Our only negative comment is the showers. Although separate for men and women, they are open plan, so I would request the site makes each shower into its own cubicle. If we came back to Prague we would...

The place is pretty old and carries some history with it. I have seen better toilets as well... the drive through Prague and into the campsite is challenging too, due to road constructions and narrow passage on the island. Parking spaces very tight. It rained and we were drowning in mud..... OK - so why 5 stars??? Camping manager is a wonderful and very helpful person. Bar service is great and the staff is very nice. The ferry connection to Prague old town is awesome (ask the manager for details) - it goes every 20 minutes, it's cheap and they don't charge for kids. The ride takes 5 minutes. Plus: quick internet connection, warm showers with enough water, good connection to public transportation all year open enough electric power connection and CEE sockets 3 caravan places have a nice view over the river and the town

minus: summer toilets are not in a good shape one winter toilet in the shower area without a window after sunset you walk 500 m in total darkness to the campground twice the price than the other campground on the island

minus minus there are two big dogs wakling uncontrolled on the campground. So watch your steps otherwise you step in...
