A Convenient and Cozy Stay with Thoughtful Touches
I spent almost a week at this hotel for a conference visit and found it to be an enjoyable experience. Its location is incredibly convenient, offering easy access to transport links and allowing for pleasant walks to the city center. However, if you are a light sleeper, note that the hotel is across the train station and if your room is facing it, you'll be exposed to constant screeching noise from the frequent trains. The hotel does provide earplugs and you'll understand why immediately. So you'd have to close the window to reduce the noise, which worked for me, but it's not ideal when the weather is hot and you want to sleep with an open window. But the view is really nice. I had the Queen Room and it felt practical and clean. A minor note for those with extensive wardrobes: there are limited hangers and space for clothes. One standout feature was the thoughtful vanity kit, which included a nail file—a true lifesaver as I'd forgotten mine! I also liked the use of sustainable, vegan brands for the shower gel, shampoo and hand wash. I was also pleasantly surprised by the brand-new, immaculately clean kettle, a rarity in hotel rooms these days. It was a pleasure to use for making coffee in the room. Plus, you get two complimentary cardboard packs of water in the room, which is a nice touch. The TV programs are solid. For fitness enthusiasts, while there's no on-site gym, the hotel has a collaboration with a nearby fitness center. The bed's mattress cover, however, was a bit challenging for me to sleep on and felt too warm, especially with the unusually high outside temperatures. Main area for improvement: the unstable internet connection. The staff were exceptional - super helpful, friendly, and genuinely nice. Breakfast offered a decent selection of vegan options, including plant milks, crackers, brownies, oats, fruit, and jams. I particularly enjoyed the Kaller spread with the crackers, though sometimes you'd have to request it. Overall, despite the internet issues, I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel and would...
Read morePrice:|Slightly overpriced for a night, 1050 DKK, but included breakfast. We booked through a booking agency website/app, and the checkout time was 11am, but if booked at/through the hotel the checkout was at 12am, that became a major confusion.||Breakfast: |A great variety of cold and hot options, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, sausage, meatballs, bacon, beans and cooked tomatoes. Pancakes, croissants, other pastries, different kinds of breads and charcuteries, cheeses and even smoked salmon and pickled herring. Also yoghurt, fruits, müsli, cornflakes and much more. A large variety of drinks, juices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.||Staff:|The reception staff didn’t give us any information about the breakfast and checkout timings, nor where the elevator was or where to go after telling us our room number, the staff only gave us the WiFi password and the room key cards, the rest i had to ask myself. ||Location:|The location was great, close to everything, public transportation, grocery stores, 7eleven, Tivoli, Central Station and more.||Room:|The room was pretty cold (oktober) but very clean and comfortable. The TV was little and pretty outdated, there was a small variety of instant hot drinks available and two eco friendly water bottles. Two sets of earplugs and one minor set of hygiene supplies (nail file and cotton swabs) in the bathroom. There were loud noises coming from the train outside, but didn’t disturb...
Read moreI picked this hotel primarily for itd location and proximity to major tourist attractions. So, that part was true, the hotel is just minutes from Tivoli and 10-15 minutes from several museums. The rooms are tight but clean, OK for the price, and breakfast is pretty good with many options. However, the most important part is not mentioned by others, that you must ask for the room on the back side, away from traffic. The front of the street faces a major rail lines coming from the main rail station, which is not obvious from the street level but it affects the accommodation in most of the upper floor rooms facing the street. Although windows provide decent sound insulation, there is no A/C in the rooms, and open window in the summer is a necessity; however, the constant noise and squeaking of passing trains during the night makes any sleep impossible. During 3 nights at this hotel I can barely claim a total of 5 hours of sleep. Poor sleep affects your overall experience with the city and everything else. Therefore, ASK FOR THE ROOM AWAY FROM THE FRONT STREET, and your experience would likely...
