Bavaretto Ocean Club — Hotel in Higüey

Myself and my partner stayed here for five nights from 15th June till 19th. Jacob (Jakob) and Leo are wonderful. They are very friendly, helpful, laid back and nothing is a problem!! Thank you so much for the birthday lift to the airport Jacob and helping us to find an ATM. The pool is lovely and well kept. The apartment we had was huge and when we had a problem with the toilet it was fixed. It was nice to know that if we needed anything we could ask. There was a good coffee maker and juicer and plenty of cutlery and crockery to use. Washing liquid is even supplied as is a bottle of water in the huge fridge. The location is great and very close and allows access to the public beach. There are a few supermarkets around, but we found the cheapest and most fun one was the local one at the end of the road. It was so much cheaper and enabled me to practise my Spanish asking for things! There are a few restaurants too. Our favourite one was Balicana next to the Seapro diving/excursion place at the beach. They have live music some evenings and it is great to sit and watch the sun go down with a beer or cocktail. Thank you again for making our stay so enjoyable:) We look forward to visiting...

As other reviewers have said, the Bavaretto Ocean Club is a great place to stay if you want to avoid the big All-Inclusive Resorts. You can enjoy Bavaro Beach after a few minutes walk.||||Considering the price this is great value, as you get nice apartments with a balcony, very spacious! We were very happy with the facilities overall. Also nowadays important is the internet connection, which worked quite well! There is a pool which we never tried though, as the beach is so close.||||The employees were quite helpful, they helped swiftely and effectively whenever needed. The building's dog - "Banana" - seemed a bit bored most of the time but was quite cooperative on the whole. The building is guarded, which does make you feel more safe. ||||I would love to award 5 points, however on two out of our 10 nights there were couple of locals parking close to the building and playing music on completely unacceptable volume. In most western countries that would have been shut down by the cops in 10 minutes, here it took about two hours until they left. Besides the overall great quality, this was highly disturbing and something should be done...

We stayed at Bavaretto Ocean Club condo in February 2019 and it was perfect. Amazing location within walking distance of may restaurants and the beach! We had a lower level 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. We enjoyed the ocean breezes and ceiling fans but there was also an A/C in one of the bedrooms. We loved walking out the front door and just 2-3 blocks you were at a beach that goes on forever. We walked 67 minutes one way one day and there was still more to go. The sand is amazing like powder sugar. We really enjoyed the nearby grocery store and the kitchenette to cook meals once in a while. The wifi here was amazing also we were able to watch "TV" on our tablet. I can't say enough about the administrators. Deshan waited over 2 hours for our delayed flight to pick us up at the airport. We were so relieved after the long line to get through customs that he was there with our name on a sign. And Leo the grounds keeper always greeted us with a smile. Many languages are spoken here so it was fun to learn...
