When I found the hotel via Internet-Search they published a price p.N. for 1.300 RD$. When I called for Reservation they asked 1.500 RD$. I accepted for one reason: it was a holiday-weekend and almost all bargain hotels overbooked. ||When I arrived the receptionist asked for 1.800 RD$ pN. I made a complain and she apologize, that was the price for 2 pers. So I get the room for 1.500 RD$.||I also asked for WIFI and they confirmed that the Terrasse has Wifi. That is true, but there is only 1 Table where you can work and you need an Extension to get your power cord conected. ||The room is very small, but comparing to the price it was ok. But also in this room, power connection just behind the entrance door from the room. No space to put cellphone or laptop for charging. only one bedlamp on the wall for Illumination. very old and small TV, i didn’t use it. small fridge at least gives a little comfort. ||When I made the Reservation I asked for parking, and yes they confirmed that too. But only space for 3 SUV’s and when I came - all parking lots are füll. They do not have enough parking, but much more rooms.||Bathroom: Dirty, no towel change, no tollet paper refilled. See pictures, the bathroom was very poor! and not clean. ||The Rezeption is only dopend during the day, in the evening a hotel guest has no more support. ||OK, a bargain Hotel - but cheaper than cheap concerning accomodation and service. No breakfast available. ||In front of the hotel is the cementry. For me ok, I thougt this „neighbours“ will not be noisy during the night. ||But I was wrong. Colmado on one side (50 Meters away) and liquer Store on the other side (70 m). Both with speakers outside, on Maximum. We do have now regulations in the DR. Loud speakers are no more alowed, You can even call 911 to get a police Patrouille to lower loed music. But looks like Las Terrenas offers entertainment 24 hours. At least it was very loud on saturday night (2am) and sunday night (12am). Forget about to fall in sleep. Beside that, the Calle Duarte is the main street on the beach and a hell of traffic on the road. ||First time I get stressed when I was back home. Ready...
Read moreVery friendly and helpful staff and owner. Great grill restaurant downstairs. Very reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.||Really great for a short stay for when you're passing through. There was no hot water in the shower, which is not such a big deal because it's really hot outside. Although the place is clean and gets cleaned daily, there were some insects in the bathroom. It probably has more to do with the environment. But if it's a thing that grosses you out, you better know now. Sometimes there's a problem with the water pressure, just tell the staff, they'll fix it. When we were there, there were frequent blackouts, only lasting a couple of minutes and apparantly not an unusual problem in the city, so probably not hotel specific. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, it's right next to the main street and motorcycles and quads and loud music are popular in Las Terrenas.||Nice communal terrace overlooking the street and part of the beach. Rooms have a little terrace as well, overlooking the parking lot and beach. ||Right in the middle of everything. Not far from the city, right in the tourist zone for restaurants, excursions, and the beach. ||I recommend it for people who want to spend as much time outside as possible and just need a friendly...
Read moreThe rooms are ok for the price, but I stayed here one day and there was music blasting so loud outside that I couldn't hear the television inside my own room. This went on for hours! When I complained to the owner he got mad and said "This is the DR, the country of noise". He basically said to get used to it and that there was nothing he could do. His wife ( I think) said the hotel basically caters to Europeans who are more adaptable than Americans. Go here if you're European and you don't...
