I asked some guys filleting big fish on the beach what they were (dorada) and which restaurant they supplied. They showed me their container of large shrimps and took me to Dulce Playa restaurant. After some time on the beach nearer Punta Popy we went there for a late lunch. It was the busiest of that line of beach restaurants (always a good sign) and we had a really tasty meal. This place is right on the beach, so it may be difficult to find if you are coming on a vehicle. However, it is one of the best places I have eaten in the Dominican Republic. At first bite, my taste buds went on a sensational ride. The ladies who served us were so sweet and attentive. Best seafood beach shack in Las Terrenas! Run by a family of local women this place is a hidden gem right on the beach with fresh seafood and boozy Piña coladas!
