After reading so many incredible reviews we had to try this restaurant. From the start we got there and asked for a table. None were available so they told us we can sit on the couch until a table was available. They did offer us drinks. While we waited for a table we watched people come in after us and they gave them tables as we waited. I finally said something to the French employee and we got a table. He waited on us immediately taking the time to answer our questions. We saw him again exactly 30 minutes later when he came to bring us utensils & napkins. We assumed our food was coming. While we waited for our food he was playing the bongo drums while socializing with people in the restaurant never once checking in on us. Finally I asked another employee how long our food would be. He said “five minutes.” Now we are waiting 50 minutes for our food. In this time no one came over to ask if we want another drink or give us any insight as to when we are getting our food. Finally after one hour my husband went to tell them we are leaving. They said the food was ready. We waited another 5 minutes for the food to come. In all we waited 75 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. The food was ridiculously salty. I couldn’t finish my Mero fish. My lips were on fire from the salt over load. My husband’s lobster was overcooked. They never checked in on us. Never got any kind of apology or explanation for the delay. We asked for the bill and I told the French man that the food was salty. He repeated what I said and walked away. The location is prime, the music good but the service and food was horrible for the price. We have no problem paying for quality but there are a dozen other restaurants that bend over backwards to give you quality service & food in Las Terrenas. This was so disappointing. Save the money & time....

We would definitely give 5 stars but 2 stars only .

Food was good but not amazing, the young server was amazingly friendly and made amazing cocktails for us. We ate fish, ceviche and salad. Atmosphere was nice. At one point, our table and someone from the next table needed to use the restroom. They gave us a key and the girl from the next table needed to use it first. Flush was not working and there was no water for washing your hands. No soap either. She was so shocked and in general the restroom was so dirty. I had to ask for help and one guy took a wine bucket and filled it with water. He tried to clean the restroom using this. I was already disgusted and the girl too. The guy put the bucket back and when I got back to my table I really didn’t want to think about how they cook their meals. It was so horribly disappointing and it ruined the entire experience. Good luck to whomever ordered cold drinks and received this bucket later that night. We found another much better and cleaner restaurant the following day and never...

Incredible experience, this place is a MUST if you are in Las Terrenas. Alex is a great guy, by far the best host we met in any restaurant since we arrived to the DR, very attentive and welcoming. The place itself is literally on the edge of the water, with fishing boats resting in-between the tables. We had a ceviche and grilled camarones, both from that day's catch, Alex brought all the fresh ingredients to our table to show them, a gesture that is getting increasingly rare these days. The food was second to none, one of the best ceviches I ever had. Cocktails, same. And surprisingly, very reasonably priced, unlike some other places in the area. If you are after excellent food, Caribbean vibes and good old fashioned hospitality , this is the place to be.
