This hotel was chosen by the travel service where I booked a trip to Galapagos. There are certainly better hotels in better locations but the price was included in our travel package.|The staff was friendly however limited in their English. We were not provided any information about the services offered by the hotel. They advertise a pool and gym but we never saw it.|The room was small but adequate for our short stay. The dinning area is clean and free breakfast served daily. I was not impressed with the options for breakfast - bruised over ripe cantaloupe, juice, coffee, tea, 3 varieties of cold ceral but no milk, and sliced bread. There ws a plate of tasteless white soft cheese and pieces of ham that resembled lunchmeat.|This restaurant is also open for dinner and offers a menu of local dishes and sandwiches. I had dinner there and it was fair. Staff is pleasant and taxis are available right outside the door. Five dollars will take you anywhere but be prepared to get lost. Drivers speak very little english and seem to not know where anything is - no GPS used. We even handed the driver the brochure from our hotel that had the address and map on spanish and he still didn't understand where to take us. Very frustrating...do yourself a favor and have a translation app...
Read moreLike another review below, this stay was chosen by a travel service (Pac Holidays) within a trip booked to the Galapagos. Based on previous reviews we, at minimum, expected a clean room. However, this did not pan out... The bedding (sheets and pillow cases) were stained, the walls were marked and eroding, TV did not work and wife got sick the last night. ||||At the end of the trip, my hotel folio came back saying that the price per night was ~$75 per night, which was reasonable as compared to other hotel prices; however, for that price the travel agency could have also booked the Courtyard Marriot (which we booked later) which was about 100x better in all facets. Even if the cost is a few extra dollars, it would be worth it to forgo this property.||||As advise to anyone booking through this travel service, be aware that this hotel doesn't feel safe, it is dirty and the pool is like an oversized bath tub. We recommend asking them to change the stay to a Marriott, SPG or...
Read moreWe stayed one night in this hotel. Room was very clean, ample and they allowed a late check out with no problem. In room safe, desk, WiFi worked with no difficulties. Breakfast was excellent: cooked-to order omelettes, plenty of fruits, cheeses, breads, coffee and juice. The hotel is off a main avenue and may not be too safe to walk to/from at night. But you can have the front desk help you with a cab to nearby places. San Marino Mall is a 5 min taxi ride away: Mall del Sol and airport some 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. I regretted not having a bathing suit: they have a small but well kept pool area that looked great. Would definitely...
