I stayed here for almost a week. It is a high rise building and as the name suggests, it is on the top floor. Let me start with cons since it is much smaller than the pros. Also these cons are not really cons for me but may be a concern/inconvenience for some. ||Cons:||1) For first time visitors, entrance might be hard to find especially at night since there are several businesses in that complex and my taxi driver and I had a hard time finding the main entrance for a while. It is not hard during day time. |2) Hosts asked for cash payment. Apparently for first time booking, they require cash since they were closed for pandemic. This is not an issue for me but might be for some. So just mentioning it. ||Pros: ||1) Great location - Even though I had difficulty finding it at night, this is actually in a good location. There is a police station right across. And all the tours I did, they either picked me up right across the street or from a location that is 5 mins walk. |2) Comfortable room - You basically have the whole house to yourself in a way since the hosts live upstairs. Very comfortable bed with all amenities including a safe, umbrellas as it rained almost every day. |3) Friendly hosts - Even though I arrived around 11 pm, Alberto was waiting for me and showed me around and explained everything. His wife Elena was also very friendly. They left on vacation on the last day and their son Jorge handled the checkout. He ordered a taxi through local app and came downstairs to get me on the cab to the airport. Overall a very nice and friendly family that took care of their guests in a great way. |4) Wonderful view - Being on the top floor, the views are amazing especially from the dining room. |5) Breakfast - Most of the days, I left early and they were nice enough to setup breakfast for me around 6:30am even though breakfast starts at 8am. Simple but good breakfast. Fruits, croissant, juice and coffee. |6) Wi-Fi - good wifi but it doesn’t work near the dining room most of the time. ||Overall this is a great place to stay in Quito due to its location and friendly hosts. Highly...
Read moreI stayed in the very small Queen room ( the other room is much larger and comfortable but more money)||||First off if you are single do not stay here period. You are not allowed guests I was forced to rent another place at the same time to spend time with my girlfriend. She was not allowed in the building. ||||2. The bathroom is very small and uncomfortable. There is only hot water or cold and very very low water pressure.||||3. Took a nap one day with earplugs because of the traffic noise and a very large dog in one of the apartments started barking and would no stop ( this is not a hotel but an apartment building)||||4. If you plan to frequent Foch tourist area it is 3 blocks away however everyone from girlfriend to taxi to guys on the street said that it is dangerous to walk at night in the area so even 3 blocks was recommended not to walk, you are better off getting a hotel right in Foch! There are several nice options there which I wish I would of booked.||||5. As soon as you give your credit card to this place they will charge you in full!!! You are hostage to this even if you want to go.||||6 Breakfast is continental was forced to eat elsewhere vs a hotel which will have a more complete meal.||||7. In short if you are a family with kids this place may work short term in the larger more expensive room If you are a couple or single person I would not go here, any sort of romantic activity will be heard by all including the owners who live right above your room and the other bedroom located...
Read more😊: This property was a stunning location to have as a base for my partner and I to explore Quito! It is so central and only a short fifteen minute drive to the main historic centre. There are plenty of excellent restaurants within a two minute walk that will cater to anyone’s food interests. The property itself was luxury to say the least and it felt as though we were staying in a presidential suite! The owners are a lovely couple and were so hospitable to us, welcoming us into the home with open arms as soon as we arrived. They did not hesitate to help us with our queries on what to do and gave us excellent recommendations that turned out to be immensely beneficial to the activities we took part in. Our bedroom was comfortable and they always gave us our own space wherever we were in the house. The views of the surrounding mountains and city were breathtaking also and it was delightful to sit and look out while we planned what we were going to do each day. 10/10 would recommend this stay to anyone. If I ever return I will refuse to stay anywhere else other than the Penthouse Lodge B & B!. 😢: Cannot complain about a thing. Everything was...
