Nubian Eco Village — Hotel in Al Baairat Village

We arrived to Luxor late at night and were met by our concierge and driver patiently waiting for our plane's arrival. The Nubian Eco-Village accommodation is delightful and located on the west bank in Luxor at the edge of the Gezira neighbourhood. The view across the road from our villa is one of oxen ploughing the fields, donkeys loaded with branches and a palm tree-lined canal. The staff and owners are wonderful people who made every effort to see to our needs. The best food we had in Egypt was prepared by the chef at the Eco-Nubian . One can order breakfast or dinner and we had it al fresco. The location is horrible, they are exploitative and increase the price of anything more than the double. There are two hotels in the place so dont get spammed into the wrong one (which is an apartment building). They offer really expensive rides knowing that their location is really bad and it’s almost impossible to get a taxi inside (unless expensive). The staff is not professional except for one who is the manager i guess.

Nous avons séjourner une nuit dans ce soi-disant eco lodge. Je voulais simplement prévenir les futur voyageurs que nous avons du passer la nuit avec un grand nombre de fourmis qui sont, au passage, beaucoup plus plus grande qu'en Europe. Nous avons passer 10 min à les écraser avant de se coucher, pour nous réveiller avec des dizaines de piqures de moustiques... Enfin le repas servit dans cette Eco-lodge est simplement cherché dans un restaurant à Louxor et facturé le triple ou le quadruple de ce que le tenancier de l’hôtel à payé. Dommage car les chambres sont entouré par des fermes qui aurait pu servir a nous servir un repas plus conforme avec le coté éco de "eco-lodge". pour résumer : une saleté générale et un tenancier d'hotel qui nous fait bien sentir qu'il fait passer son profit financier avant la qualité de son accueil.
