Habiba is the Heartbeat of the Hostel (Give Her a Raise, Seriously)
Let me be clear: the Wi-Fi might still be struggling, but thanks to Habiba, the vibe is absolutely thriving.
From the moment you meet her, Habiba brings a warmth that doesn’t just make you feel welcome—it makes you feel seen. She has this gentle, grounded feminine energy that instantly softens the space. Whether she’s checking you in, lighting up the room with her kind smile, or—yes—caring for the cat she lovingly added to the hostel (a total game-changer, by the way), Habiba does everything with heart.
She’s not just attentive—she’s intuitively present. You’ll catch her noticing things others miss: when someone needs an extra blanket, a word of encouragement, or just a quiet moment with the cat curled up nearby. It’s like she sprinkles little bits of care and comfort around the place without even trying.
Let’s be honest: the internet connection still makes you want to scream into the void. But somehow, when Habiba is around, the frustration fades. Her energy uplifts the whole environment, making it feel more like a home and less like just a place to sleep.
Habiba is the kind of person who makes you believe in kindness again. She’s not loud or flashy—she’s the calm in the chaos, the gentle soul who holds the space together. And if anyone deserves a raise, a standing ovation, and a lifetime supply of good...
Read moreMy stay at the hostel was the best experience I’ve ever had visiting Alexandria. The staff were extremely respectful, kind, and made me feel completely at home — not like I was in a strange place at all.
To be honest, I was a bit nervous at first, especially as a girl traveling alone, and I was worried it might not feel safe. But I’ve honestly never felt this safe anywhere else. It truly felt like I was surrounded by family.
The place is also super clean, located right next to the sea, and everything you need — transportation, restaurants, and services — is just around the corner.
I highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you're Egyptian or a foreigner. This is officially my favorite spot in Alexandria, and from now on, it’s the only place I’ll be staying with my friends whenever we visit!
But the WiFi is a little bit slow. Other than that everything is perfect 🤩 super ❤️🫶🏻. Thanks Ithaka...
Read moreWe were in both Ithakas - Old with out on the shore road, and NewGood after one house of it secret location ;) Asked myself to write some words, for The New - wish music sometimes (old jazz is better, new pop like Adele and Coldplay is not so) don't turn on it loud and all the day. Idea is not bad, but less the time. Mops in bathrooms is required. I think, there is normal and very good, that there is not simple way to find you. Do not make symbols. Who found , they are chosen one to be happy. Others may go to find happiness other plases. It will save you from all bad in the world. Save the guitar. All other your things is new, New Ithaka is the great! For The Old I have not much words - good hostel location, people, I think there are a little tired things like bath, furniture, but if nobplaces in The New you may come. Thank you! Ramadan Kareem to all of your personal!...
