So we planned to spend our wedding and maybe two night more in here. My wife booked a week earlier as follows: booked a room the night before the wedding for herself to get ready in, and booked a day-use for me on the morning of the wedding to get ready in, and booked a a suite for us for the wedding night, and a double room for the night after and paid the deposits, and she later went for the reception and canceled the double room booking.
On the wedding day morning I went to the reception and told them our booking ID to pay the remainder of the deposit and to check-in, they tried to make me pay for the double room that was previously canceled and claimed it was never canceled before and had to speak to multiple employees to convince them that ok I'm here now and I still want to cancel the double room and re e it from the invoice.
for the remainder of the invoice they informed me that the owners of the hotel have changed and that their rates have increased, and upon my insistence that I'm not obligated to pay for the price difference since we booked and paid a deposit a week ago they told me to hold until they finalize the invoice, and every time an employee says that to me they dissappear and another emoloyee appears and asks me for the booking ID and to explain my life story from the beginning, it has happened multiple times. The check-in process took more than an hour.
at this point my bags and tuxedo were supposed to be delivered to my room, since the bags were taken taken from me from more than an hour ago while I was at the reception finalizing my payment, but when entered the room I didn't find them and kept calling the reception for them and they kept promising that the trolly is on its way, until I| waited for an extra hour then went back to the lobby to find the trolly guy sitting there with my bags and tuxedo the whole time waiting for someone to give him a 100 pounds, and when I paid him then he took the trolly upstairs to my room a situation I didn't expect to experience in a fancy hotel. I was relatively late for my wedding because of these instances of non-cooperation.
during our stay in the suite I called the reception to order drinking water, they told me to wait until the house-keeping are passing by and order water from them, and when the house-keeping passed by us I ordered water from him and he told me I have call the reception, so I called the reception again to express my annoyance until they finally bought us the water.
We were supposed to check-out but we intended to extend our stay at the suite for a second night so called the reservation department and they told me I have to go to the reception, so I went to the reception and they told that it's through the reservation department so I told them what do I do? And they said just hold tight until we contact the reservation department, so I waited for almost 30 minutes until they told me i can get back to my suite and when they finalize the extention process they'li call me back. I went back to my room and waited for 6 hours with no call from the reception, and at this point our key cards stopped working and we wanted to go out for a short time and be able to get back to our room so I went back to the reception and explained the story of my life to them again for them to finally extend my stay and give me working key cards.
Our intentions were to stay a third night at a hotel but at this point we were too frustrated from the grand nile tower and found the great view and cleanness not worth it anymore and spent the third night at a...
Read moreIf there is less than a star I would give this place. We booked through booking a month ahead. We traveled from United States. At the day of arrival, they send us an email with cancellation notice due to unable to process credit card (approved at time of booking 2 MONTHS AHEAD). We were in the airfare at the time of the email.when arrived to the hotel around 2 am. They told us booking the one who canceled our resrvation and can not do anything (the guys on the front disk offered a sweet for overnight price of 600$! Been told there is not rooms available. Then he spoke to his supervisor with the same response then after arguing. Send us to the other higher supervisor with a desk in the middle of the hotel ( name ashraf I believe ) he was so rider, and disrespectful like we are asking for his blessing ( acting like Vice President or something), told us the same thing then he said nothing we can do, go and look for another place ( if we are the one two cancel it we will help) . After calling booking found out the hotel was the one that cancel it and when I told them and spoke to the agent on the phone they still won't help and keep lying about no rooms available and only sweet available for 600 $( the other little boss Mahmoud was telling us this). Booking could not do anything ( so disappointing ).then I went inline and found room availability but since it's the next day already won't let me to book for the night and the reservation starts at not ( now time around 3-30 am). I asked them to give us the room early so we can sleep since we were so tired but refused. The guy named Mahmoud said the only option overnight ( from 4 am -12 pm ) is a sweet worth 600$. Since we were tired and disparate and we don't know anything in the city we booked it. Guess what! It was a regular very dirty room same floor and hallway that the other rooms we got the following day. It was a big scam from suppose to be a big and fancy hotel. We traveled around the world and we never encounter something like this scam and those people. Very unsatisfied and upset from...
Read moreI’m sharing my own honest experience at Hilton Grand Nile, not exaggerating or fabricating any part of it. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had, especially given the high price I paid for a so-called five-star hotel.
From the moment I arrived, things were off. The check-in process took about one hour, which is completely unacceptable for a luxury hotel.
The cleanliness and hygiene were major issues throughout my stay. In the bathroom, I found stains and grime in the shower area (see attached photo), which immediately raised concerns about the hotel’s attention to detail. On top of that, the toiletries were a mess—disorganized, not enough, and in some cases, partially used bottles were provided. I use my own shampoo when staying at hotels, but I was shocked to see that the bottles they left behind were already half-empty.
Another issue I encountered was that the room only had one face towel, which is completely insufficient. For a hotel of this supposed caliber, this lack of basic amenities was a glaring disappointment.
But the biggest issue for me was the hotel’s lack of respect for guest privacy. Late in the evening, someone knocked on my door to deliver water bottles I didn’t order. A similar incident occurred with my friend in another room, where the staff knocked unannounced, claiming it was "evening service" and asking if she needed anything. This felt intrusive and inappropriate for a hotel room, where guests expect privacy and peace.
I also found a dirty mug in my room, which had visible residue inside, adding to the concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the hotel.
Overall, my stay at Hilton Grand Nile was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. The cleanliness was far below expectations, and the service was intrusive and disorganized. I regret paying such a high price for what turned out to be a...
