It’s was an unforgettable experience, with extravagant views and food, the rotating dining hall is creative and fun, could have made so many interesting videos. The middle part of the building which includes open kitchen, elevators and simple bathroom(unexpectedly low-key, not match the environment actually) are fixed while the well decorated hallway and the dinner table are continuously circling but the edge of it including the glass and a small space between it are fixed too. The speed is very slow barely perceptible. So most of the time I just felt we were static because of illusion. We ordered two four course meals and it’s was more than abundant, the portion of the appetizers was bigger than I expected, plus the delicious little bit sweets of bread, I was almost full after it cause I was addicted to the bread! (I cannot believe that in the end the bread was the most delicious part🤣🤣🤣.) The soup were smaller portions and they put the solid part first and then the liquid part in front of you. It was funny but cute. When the two parts were not cooked together means the soul of the meal was separated. Furthermore the lamb shank was also giant with juicy sauce and milky mashed potatoes. But I could feel the slightly special smell of the lamp which I mind but most people don’t. I expected it to be seasoned better and stewed more thoroughly, in order to cover the smell. The sand&sea include shrimps beef which my company really enjoyed but I considered normal, and some vegetables to keep it look various and healthy. They deserts were so normal for me just like any other stores probably because we were already bloated in the end, kind of too heave after such a feast, so maybe we should have ordered some ice-cream or fruits if they provide. Overall, most of the time we had very good time with correspondingly high quality of service and attentive staff. However I don’t really understand about the bill except extra service fee and taxes not included in the menu, seems they charge a bit more than I should pay. It was 4373 pounds 89.42 dollars according to the rate of the day. But they directly charged 94.46. In whatever case they should explain or notify the difference while it was not a big deal. But seems they chose to do it hiddenly. Decency and honesty were so fundamental but still lacked in this high...
Read moreI visited the RR on Saturday night, March 23rd, 2019. My experience started negatively with the parking which is badly planned, very difficult to maneuver and doesn't reflect the relatively new building. However, going up, the reception of the restaurant was classy, we were seated down against a wonderful panorama of Cairo, and in two minutes, someone came to escort us to the Revolving Restaurant which was one floor up. I have to say that the view from there cannot be matched anywhere else in Cairo! even the Cairo Tower doesn't offer such a wonderful view. As for the food, I ordered a well done Sirloin Steak well done, my partner ordered grilled chicken breast with risotto rice (not sure of the actual plate names). The food quality and presentation was amazing; and yes, I sampled my partner's plate as well :) The price wasn't that high for a fine dining place, we paid about EGP 1100 (about USD 60), and that included the salads, and fresh juice drinks (no Alcohol is served). I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cairo. Note: The place is dress coded...
Read moreOne of the most important restaurants in Cairo that you should visit at least once in your life, and here I am talking about the view only, not the food, drink, or desserts. All of this is not sweet. It is about specific main dishes, which are 3 dishes of meat, chicken, and fish, all grilled and served with vegetables. Rice and a drink cost 40 US dollars per person And the food is not important at all. The whole experience is that you go half an hour before sunset and go up to the 40th floor and see the best view of all of Cairo and the sunset from the top of the Great Nile, and when night comes the blue lights turn on to take you to a better world of imagination and pleasure and all that you are busy with. The place is respectful and cooperative and helps you experience the experience. The entire restaurant revolves around the Nile and Cairo so that you feel as if Cairo is revolving around you in a two-hour tour. Then the restaurant stops and rotates again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. You can sit both times. The same price, but you must...
