Room Art Space & Cafe - Garden City — Restaurant in Cairo

I have been a loyal customer of this café for years, but after my recent experience, I will never return. The staff member managing the karaoke and his manager were shockingly rude and unprofessional.

We called ahead and were told by the manager to come, so we arrived at 9 PM. As soon as we got there, the karaoke attendant spoke to us in an unacceptably condescending tone, saying we were “late” and refusing to let our table sing. Then, he said he’d “make an exception” for one song — then maybe two — only to cut us off after one anyway.

Meanwhile, they allowed another group to sing over and over again simply because they had 18 people, while our group of 5 — who paid the same entry fee — was denied the same opportunity. When I politely addressed this with both him and the manager, they were dismissive, repeated “no, no, no,” and showed zero empathy or willingness to treat customers fairly.

This café used to be special to me, but the arrogance, bias, and lack of professionalism from these two employees have completely ruined it. I urge upper management to investigate their behavior — they are driving loyal...

My first experience at Room Art was Karoake night on Mondays and I have been addicted ever since. The place is really cool, the people working there are so friendly and helpful, and just the overall vibe will get you addicted. I sang my heart out with a couple of strangers- now friends- and even though I won't run for Arab's got talent anytime soon, it was a real blast. Check their daily events as they hold live shows and game nights but please try Karaoke night too, you won't regret it. Amazing & lively place suitable for varying activities based on their events at the time. Usually it is a calm place where you can study and get away from the loud city life. Other times it is very loud and lively with music where you can enjoy with your group of friends. Just be sure to check their schedule to check if it suits your needs.
