The traffic in Cairo is very noisy and smokey, so relaxing in a felucca which floats without engine is like traveling to another plannet in no time. The felucca's pilot, Saïd, a man from Aswan, has handled the boat in perfect silence. It was my first ever ride in a boat moved exclusively by wind and currents and the experience was unforgetable. We had a private felucca tour on the Nile. It was really pleasant and relaxing, with nice views of the city. Although it was a bit cloudy and the sunset could not be seen perfectly, we saw some nice colours of the sky. The tour took about 1 hour (left on light, came back on dark).
