Hola cairo hotel — Hotel in Cairo

We booked a different hostel on booking (Miami Cairo hostel) but when arrived there we were told that they did not have a room for us but instead offered us a room In Hola Cairo Hotel. Even before we gave our passports we were told that we would receive an upgrade but we have to give the hotel a good review (not very professional).

The room was ok. You can see that the hostel has been renovated some time ago but the cleaning could have been slightly better. During the night we had many mosquitos in the room.

The breakfast was really good and abundant.

We could leave our luggage for the day but i would recommend having a separate room for such a service rather than asking to leave luggage in the main corridor where everyone has...

We booked a room for 2 nights in this hotel on Booking in advance, and texted them the day before. When we arrived to the hotel, the receptionist said that they had no free rooms “because we cancel all reservations at 8pm” (we arrived around 9pm). Then he ordered us to spend the 1st night in another hotel nearby (already it looked like a classic scam scheme). We decided to look at this another hotel, and of course the offered room was very bad and had nothing in common with the room we booked. Fortunately we didn’t pay in advance. We decided to choose another hotel on Booking (pay more but feel safe). I think reviews may be fake. Definitely not...
