A Surprise Culinary Journey at Tianma, St. Regis Cairo
What I thought would be just another nice dinner turned into an unforgettable Michelin-star-level evening.
The biggest surprise? The culinary genius behind the flavors — Chef Stathis, a Greek chef in an Asian restaurant — blending precision, passion, and artistry.
Every dish was a revelation: Gyoza with slow-cooked meat — delicate, juicy, and rich in flavor. Lobster dumpling — simply crazy good. Avocado ceviche — fresh, vibrant, perfectly balanced. Sushi from FRESH fish (not frozen!) — clean, pure, and deeply satisfying. Pistachio crème brûlée — the grand finale, an elegant twist on a classic.
And none of this would have happened without the warm recommendation of Mr. Michael, the restaurant’s manager, who told me: “You must try this great restaurant.” He was absolutely right.
If you’re in Cairo and think you’ve tasted it all — Tianma will prove you wrong.

Food is good, however, only calamari was great
Main dishes moderate
The big disappointment was on the service
Number of waitress was two only while occupied tables were 8 🤣
When you ask what was that, the answer is hotel finding difficulty in obtaining work permit for new waitresses
In my opinion, this is a weakness of hotel management that are not able to provide the right service in a restaurant, dinner into which costs 2 persons EGP 9000 without a drop...
