The pictures in the website are deceiving at best. It was nothing like it showed in Booking.com and we were in for a big surprise. It looks shady and more like an hourly hotel. It's not even that cheap to be this bad. I'd advise anyone to save themselves the trouble and book in a more decent hotel for a couple more bucks.||||The furniture were totally devastated and in absolute poor condition. They have plasters around them to keep them from falling apart. The rooms are claustrophobic and look very shady. The smell gave me a coughing fit that lingered on for the whole day. I found bugs crawling on the walls and creeping under the bed. ||||It is in a very poor neighborhood so the view is that of broken buildings and trash in general. Very simple amenities of a hotel are non-existent such as a safe or a proper door. I had to keep close to my value items out of a sense of lack of security. The air conditioner was malfunctioning, and I couldn't get a single minute's sleep. I've never had a sleepless 24-Hour before this experience.||||If I would have known the truth about this place, I would not have paid a penny for it. They charged us for seven nights, but we escaped the next day and no amount was refunded. We demand a refund for the remainder of the nights that we...
Read moreThe smiles that greeted me as I walked through the doors never disappeared. And I had a smile too having come up in a 'magic wardrobe' lift to this 4th floor hotel. ||My room was just off the dining room, and had a window that opened onto flowers and singing birds. The hotel is very quiet, though early evening always had a couple of guests sitting on the little balcony chatting. The location on Zamelek was perfect - across the street is an arts college so there are always students wandering round with art supplies splling from their bags. Just down the road were newsagents with papers in 10 languages, florists, cafes - everything I enjoy. And pharmacies and banks if needed.||The reception staff in particular were very helpful. I had made a mistake with the number of nights I had booked and came back one evening when I should have checked out that morning. But it had all been sorted with no fuss and I simply paid another night at exactly the same rate as the others.||I will most certainly come back here again next time I...
Read moreI arrived at Horus House Hotel in Zamalek late at night 🌃 and found the reception staff present and very welcoming 😊. The hotel is located in the heart of Zamalek 📍, inside a residential building 🏠, on either the third or fourth floor (I’m not entirely sure 🤔). The hotel's design follows a classic French style 🇫🇷, giving it a warm and cozy ambiance 🔥 reminiscent of old French hotels seen in classic movies 🎬. The place was clean ✨ and well-organized 🧹, and the service was excellent 👍. The staff were extremely friendly 🤗, helpful 🤝, and courteous 🙏, which added to the overall experience. However, I would suggest updating some aspects of the hotel 💡, such as incorporating modern fragrance diffusers 🌸, as they would enhance the atmosphere and make the stay even more enjoyable 😌. Additionally, installing shattaf 🚿 in the bathrooms would be a valuable improvement 🛠️, as it is a practical feature that caters to the comfort and preferences of guests from different cultures 🌍. Disliked 👎 · there's...
