My experience at Marwa Palace Hotel was a mix of positives and negatives, leaving me uncertain about my overall evaluation.||On the positive side, the hotel enjoys a good location in Cairo, close to well-known landmarks, and is clean and well-organized with excellent pricing. The staff was extremely helpful, polite, and professional.||However, I had a negative experience during my stay, specifically with the night shift manager, Magid Ramzy, who treated me in an unacceptable manner. I initially stayed at the hotel and then left, returning late at night to check in again and extend my stay. At the reception, I was asked to provide proof of marriage, something I had never encountered at any other hotel before. Although I was willing to cooperate and show proof that the person with me was my wife, I explained that my marriage certificate is only valid for use within my country and, by law, cannot be photocopied. I was willing to show it without making a copy.||However, the night shift manager, Magid Ramzy, refused any alternative solutions and insisted that it had to be photocopied. He canceled my reservation and denied me entry to the hotel, refusing to escalate the issue to hotel management and instead directing me to contact the tourism police. This was an unprofessional and inappropriate response. I did contact the tourism police, and they were prepared to assist, but due to the late hour and our exhaustion, I chose to stay at a different hotel.||The next day, I returned to the hotel to discuss the situation with the management. I met with Mr. 🌟Michael🌟, who handled the matter with great professionalism and respect. He sincerely apologized for the misunderstanding and was extremely cooperative, which significantly improved my overall experience. Although it was supposed to be my last night in Cairo, Mr. Michael’s exceptional treatment led me to extend my trip by an additional two days.||I would also like to thank several staff members who provided outstanding service:|🌟 Ahmed and Mina from the reception team for their kindness and professionalism.|🌟 Ms. Jacqueline for fulfilling my requests and decorating the room with flowers at the highest level of professionalism.|🌟 Mrs. Nadia, the housekeeping manager, for her quick response to my room concerns and her supervision of the maintenance team.|🌟 Mohamed Salah, the luggage attendant, for his warm welcome and continuous assistance.||Overall rating: A good hotel with a great location, reasonable pricing, and excellent service from most staff members. However, my experience was negatively impacted by the behavior of the night shift manager, which calls for improvement in guest relations to ensure a better stay for...
Read moreThe hotel somehow exceeded our expectations price versus service. We were apprehensive booking it as there were not many recent reviews on Tripadvisor. Maybe is not a 4 star in European standards but the price we paid against other big name hotels in downtown Cairo is unrivalled, especially because all these hotels have very bad reviews. The superior double room booked are in a refurbished tower and very spacious and clean with good AC and provides a coffee station a fridge (very noisy tho and kept us awake until unplugged) and a big wardrobe with a safe, tho didn’t work in our room. We reported it to the receptionist but nobody fixed it. They usually tend to tell you yes yes yes to please you, but then nobody sorts out the issue. However it wasn’t a big problem as we didn’t have any issues with leaving our belongings in a locked luggage or they offered to leave them at the reception. The breakfast is good enough, don’t expect English breakfast but plenty of choices and egg/ omelette station, fresh juices and lots of local food and cakes/ croissants options. The location of the hotel is ok as close to a bank and a very convenient and super cheap supermarket Metro opposite the hotel but there are no good restaurants around the area or you won’t be able to walk anywhere to downtown attractions but very close to downtown by taxi. However the location in Cairo doesn’t really matter as you will use Uber all the time as it is a brilliant service very convenient, easy and safe and mostly so so cheap and pay and tip on app .. rides of 30-40 minutes for instance from hotel to the pyramids for less then 2£ one way!! All our rides across the city were under 1£ each way, same less then 5£ for a ride to Sphinx airport 50 minutes away! The hotel has very competitive prices for food too! Most expensive items such Peppercorn steak for 5£, good capuccino and amazing cakes for 1 £ each. Staff is very friendly and helpful and not pushy at all for any tips etc. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and we would stay...
Read moreHello,||My stay at your hotel was extremely disappointing. I left my lipstick in the room I even used it before going out. When I returned it was gone. I reported this immediately but the staff simply told me there was “no solution” and that they would only check the room. I searched carefully myself but it was not there.||This lipstick is very expensive for me but more importantly this is not just about a lipstick. It is about principle safety and guest security. Losing personal belongings inside a locked hotel room is unacceptable. |Out of fear I had to buy padlocks and lock all my suitcases so that nothing else would be taken. Still the only response I received was that they would “search the room” and that there would be no refund or compensation.||On top of this we left the room at 9 a.m. and requested a room change because of unbearable noise. Staff said “ok” but when we returned at 6 p.m. nothing had been done. Finally although we had clearly informed the hotel that we had a lot of luggage and booked an airport transfer with them we were promised a van but were sent a 4x4 instead completely unsuitable for our situation.||This was a very bad experience at your hotel and I will never return. This combination of negligence lack of accountability and disregard for guests’ security is unacceptable. I expect immediate action, accountability, and a proper resolution to...
