Magic Orient (Aqua Magic) — Restaurant in Red Sea

We had an exceptional dining experience at Magic Orient restaurant. We visited for dinner, and it's worth noting that reservations are necessary, as they serve a set menu on an à la carte basis.

The cuisine is traditional Egyptian, and they offer a special kids menu with options like penne pasta with tomato sauce, spaghetti with bolognese, cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, or fish with fries to cater to younger diners.

The set menu kicked off with a delightful selection of bread and dips, with the garlic and red pepper dips being particularly outstanding. The subsequent soup was flavorful and satisfying.

For the main course, diners can choose between a tantalizing meat BBQ featuring kofta, lamb, and chicken, or opt for the seafood option, which includes squid, king prawns, and fish fillets, we chose one of each, along with a variety of mezze that is generous to say the least – you may find it challenging to finish!

The staff was incredibly welcoming, and a thoughtful touch from the manager was moving our table when he noticed our son was asleep, providing a sofa for his comfort. Such small gestures make a world of difference when dining with children.

I had the pleasure of dining at Magic Orient and out of the two available options, I chose the fish and seafood. The appetizer was nicely presented on a platter, with an acceptable taste but not exceptional. It was of the same quality you'd find in any unpretentious oriental fast food in Europe. We skipped the soup as it seemed like too much food already. The seafood was served on a charcoal grill, which was very useful since the food was cold. There were three proteins: shrimp (very good), squid (a bit tough and with faint traces), and fish (quite terrible). All in all, the presentation of the main dish was rather poor (as you can see in the pictures). We passed on dessert due to the late hour. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and I can't recommend it enough! The place was exceptionally clean and neatly organized, which immediately set a positive tone for the whole experience. The atmosphere felt unique and welcoming, making it stand out from other places I’ve visited.

The food was delicious — every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with care. What really made the experience even better was the amazing staff.
