Outrageous. The security guard at the entrance to the resort who did not speak any English told us that we need to show them our passports. We did not carry them, so had to return to our hotel. After taking 2 taxi rides there and back, we returned after 45 minutes and the security guard told us that we cannot get in. As he was unable to explain, we spoke to the receptionist by phone, who told us that the restaurant is fully booked and we cannot get in. We know for sure that the first time, the security guard spoke with the reception. It therefore seems like our country was not good enough to enter the restaurant. The service was best so far in the whole staigenberger: just the right attention, never had to chase someone for the next drink or dish, but no hassle for tips or entering into our comfort zone.
