So we just got back from our stay at Naama Waves, what we will say about our trip is it was amazing. ||We have 2 young children under age 6 and they had the best time. From the moment we arrived at front desk, the hotel receptionist took our passports and said you go and eat first i will take care of everything and check you in. When we came back from the restaurant he had prepared everything for us and gave us our key cards for our room. ||We then woke up to 38°C the following day, thank god for AC because we were extremely hot to say the least. ||The food was standard holiday buffet style, they would do a different cuisine each day. ||I would like to give a shout out to the restaurant manager Ahmed and one of the waiters very young lad Abdul Rehman, they would see us coming and get a table ready and already knew our drinks. Obviously we dont drink due to being muslim but they kept topping us up. The restaurant manager learnt that my eldest loved brownies and they had run out at lunch he went to the head chef who prepared 4 delicious fresh nutella brownies for my daughter. ||Every time we walked into the restaurant he would ask my daughters what they wanted and befriended them. ||The hospitality and the staff are unreal and we have never felt more welcome in a hotel and genuinely feel like the staff here are one of the main reasons we would come back to the hotel. ||Now, the negatives. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and the rooms are spacious, however there were a lot of things that could do freshing up on. The rooms need a fresh lick of paint with new furniture as the rooms look dark with all the wood accents, the bathrooms can also do with updating and new shower heads with new drainage systems. Everytime we had a shower we had to stop as the water kept rising up almost flooding the entire bathroom. ||The waves pool is needing to be updated as the pool itself is lovely however the flooring is sharp me and my daughters have cuts all over ourselves due to the pool being too sharp. ||The sunbeds were almost always taken we luckily made a friend who would wake up early for a run so she would put our towels on sun beds for us. (Thanks Becks!) ||Some staff speak limited English as the preferred languages out there are Arabic and Russian so trying to communicate with them was a little difficult but thank god for google translate! ||The hotel wifi is not the best it would cut out or keep disconnecting itself whilst we were in the middle of phonecalls or whatsapp video calls from home so i would recommend buying an online sim card, i used a company called Maya Mobile paid 5 quid for 1gb of data for 5 days. ||The beach isnt very far, do not use google maps as it will tell you to walk around genena city and through the long way which is around a 35 minute walk, when you can just cut through the other sister hotel Naama Bay hotel and resort. There is soho square and a fix price market where you can buy everything from Dubai chocolate to very good copies of bags, watches and designer things. The beach from that square is 2 minutes and each hotel has a section on there for itself. The old market is also located within Soho square where you can again buy a lot of things but be prepared to negotiate and to walk away if the deal isn't good enough for you, they will eventually say yes to your price.||Kids entertainment. They start kids entertainment at 8.30 every night and play the same songs every night which are now stuck in mine and the wifes brain for the forseeable! There was also a daredevil, belly dancer and magician that came!||Tips: take the strongest bug repellant you can find before you go because i was attacked by mosquitos, they seem to love my blood and now im itching like a mad man.||Overall i would come back for the staff however after the hotel had some renovations. If you want late checkout it is around 23 quid but they will only give you until 3pm they said no at first but then...

Some of the staff are genuinely nice, but their English is severely limited, making it challenging for them to comprehend our conversations. The Russian far outnumbers the English here.||||The lady receptionist, who doesn’t seem to grasp English, was completely clueless when we tried to check in. She even asked us if we had to pay for the rest of our stay, despite us having printed out the documents showing that we had already paid. We were then led to our rooms without any layout or information about the hotel’s amenities.||||To find our way around, we had to wander the hotel ourselves. Fortunately, we met some English guests who had been there for a few days and kindly provided us with some guidance.||||The Mexican restaurant was good for lunch. The tuna sandwich & chicken sandwich were the best options in my opinion. However, be prepared for a disappointing shredded beef sandwich. It’s more like smoky ham slices, which was quite amusing.||||The à la carte allows you to use it only once, forcing you to choose between Italian or Mexican cuisine. You can only book the à la carte between the time of 10am till 2pm which isn’t helpful if you’re down the beach etc. You have to tell them what food you want you can’t choose later on at night when you’re in the restaurant. This was quite disappointing, as we’ve traveled to Sharm El Sheikh many times and never encountered this limitation at other hotels.||||The main restaurant offers limited food options, so if you’re a picky eater, brace yourself for dishes like chips, chicken, and spaghetti every day. The same applies to the beach, where the choices are equally limited. The main restaurant’s food didn’t appeal to us at all, so ended up eating out most nights, which is something you don’t want when you’re meant to be all inclusive.||||When it came to good food, we had a few options: Tavern Bar (an English pub), Dananeer, bluestone - you get 10% off your food for being in Naama waves hotel. ||||The hotel rooms are generally clean. Our cleaner was helpful and attentive to our needs. However, the shower had a clogged drain and didn’t drain well and the beds do feel like you’re sleeping on the floor as they are hard mattresses. Apart from that, we didn’t encounter any other significant issues with the room.||||If you have a walking disability, navigating the hotel can be challenging due to the numerous steps throughout. To reach the beach, it’s approximately a 10-15 minute walk. Fortunately, buggies are available at the sister hotel to assist with uphill travel if required. Additionally, there’s a lift that conveniently saves you going up and down five floors.||||The hotel offers access to two beaches. One is small, chaotic, and quite noisy. The other is more peaceful and spacious towards the afternoon sometimes in the mornings it was like you was a pack of sardines on the beach. ||||The pool toilets are disgusting they don’t get cleaned and there is never any toilet roll in the cubicles. The men’s toilets hardly ever have had hand soap too. There are only 1 set of steps to get into the pool so if you have difficulty get in and out and your sun lounger is the other side of the pool it’s not very convenient. The pool music isn’t always PG at times playing Central Cee - Doja & Khia - my neck my back 🤣||||There are pool tables but they aren’t free you have to pay for them for 1 hour. ||||For a change of scenery, you can visit the sister hotel’s lobby bar and enjoy a drink there. However, their other bar located on the third floor is less inviting. ||||Personally I wouldn’t come back to this hotel as there are far better hotels out...

The children had a separate room and bathroom which was great the beds were comfy and massive queen sized.|Staff were lovely 😍 Pool supervisor helped me few times with my sons frequent nose bleeds. The life guards took this very seriously, saw them get children out that didn't have arm bands or a parent by the pool. They were the same at the wave pool constantly watching and blowing whistle keeping all safe. The boys loved the slides which again were manned at the top and the bottom.|Sun beds were set up each day with our towels and the pool bar staff came around constantly asking if we wanted a drink. The only problem we encountered were allot of Russians that were not so gracious in queuing and quite rude to us and Staff. |Food was good but my children struggled to find something. The evening BBQ meats were lovely and I preferred those nights of the fresh meats and salad bar. Breakfast was good pancakes freshly made and waffles. Fresh omelette and plenty of breads. I could always find something. Sports bar showed the football so boys happy in their and pool tables at the back they could hire for 1 hour and pay 100 EGP (approx £1.50)|The shop on site had crisps and chocolate ect.. that was fairly priced and the restaurants next door good for afternoon lunch that u could grab takeaway to the pool. That was burgers, nuggets or sandwiches. Pizzas on day brought out to the pool area freshly cooked and had a cocktail/mocktail bar pop up one day too. Able to have the room late check out due to not leaving until 6pm manager didn't charge either. |Staff were truly amazing and the cleaning staff also were lovely and kept room fresh and clean with a few days of Swans and flowers when we came back.|Beach was a bit of a trek away as its located at the sister hotel across the road. Very small square and the sea was sectioned off for each hotel. Shops and restaurant very close and 10 min walk to Geneva shopping mall. Hotel is in a good location.|We had an amazing time and felt very rested.|The spa had a lovely lady Chardia who did me a lovely relaxing facial and gave me a lovely hair wash and blow dry on the last day.
