Camel Bar & Rooftop — Restaurant in South Sinai

Bar because friends of us recommended us to go there because it is such a nice place to be, and they were right! The bar is located on a rooftop in the middle of the naama Bay so you have a great sight of everything what's happening around you. The cocktails are professionally made and really really tasty and also affordable. The staff was kind and always had an eye on us that we had every thing we need. Even the assistant manager sat down and had a talk with us (really nice guy who takes care of his customers). The atmosphere at Camel Rooftop is genuinely nice and creates a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly marred by several billing and service issue. Extra charges for tax and service were added to our bill Our waiter demanded a separate tip on top of the service charge already included in the bill. When we questioned this practice, he claimed the service charge “wasn’t for him” The waiter became hostile and rude when we asked for clarification about the charges. This created an uncomfortable and unpleasant situation. Our bill for 5 people was 2000 tax and service was 500, and we gave extra tip so the waiter will be ok...

This is somewhere we've been on previous visits to Sharm and was looking forward to returning to. Unfortunately I won't be visiting again. We went as a party of 4 last night for dinner and cocktails on the rooftop. The food was excellent, cocktails great and the staff were really friendly however.... The cost came in rather high. There was 14% tax added to the bill and a 12% service charge so 26%. Then they expected a tip on top of that as apparently they don't get given any of the service charge.
