We had booked all inclusive at another hotel over the road that did not have direct access to the beach so were permitted to use the Jewel. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome we ended up staying for lunch in the 2nd day, then breakfast and lunch the following day and then decided to just move in there for the remaining 3 days of our holiday. The service is at least 10 stars from everyone. The food is fantastic. The evening meals are not the traditional buffet type from the resorts as this is predominantly an Egyptian hotel so dinner is get what you are given. But , this was genuinely fabulous as you get about 6 different plates each of local foods that were all more delicious the more you ate. Staff would bring us local things to try and all were so pleased to share things with us. We were honestly treated like friends. The hotel is spotless. We had a fabulous room with a huge terrace overlooking the sea. Very well equipped. The sun terrace is perfect and the access to the sea with a multitude of spectacular fish to see. Life guards look after you all day and pool side drinks and food are so well priced. All food was beautifully presented and you can tell that all of the staff are passionate about what they do. We loved every second we spent at this hotel. It was my birthday whilst we were there and they arranged a fantastic meal by the sea for us with flowers and decorations. Our room was filled with flowers and balloons too. So much attention to detail from all. When we left we had hugs from the staff. The staff at this hotel made this one of our best ever trips and we are booking to go back in March. |Unfortunately we then had to go back to our original hotel to check out and collect our big suitcase (we had only taken overnight bags to the Jewel) and the difference in everything was even more obvious and this made us even more grateful to have discovered this hotel which is honestly the ’jewel’ of the Red Sea. Very...

Read moreA mixed experience. The hotel is very pleasant and has spectacular views, a gorgeous sea-front terrace and is within a few minutes walk of Naama Bay centre but sufficient distance to be insulated from some of the livelier aspects of the area. Noise isn't an issue. Excellent air-conditioning and nice rooms. Worth a special mention- Amr Mohammed was incredibly welcoming at breakfast; he treated us to a warm smile every day and demonstrated excellent attention to detail and has an excellent memory. He is a real asset to the hotel.||(We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis so can only comment on breakfast food which was good).||When we arrived the pool had been drained. It was back in action before we left and there is a seawater infinity pool which is lovely. There is a gym (not open when we were there). There is also a dive centre on site and access to a well-respected and long-established local spa. ||There is entertainment available and it was a nice touch to have an evening phone call from reception to personally invite us to a performance one night.||Areas that led to the review being 'average' rather than 'very good':|1. Shower- we are scuba-divers and when you get back after a day's diving, a shower is first on the 'to-do' list. We stayed for 2 weeks and for at least 4 nights we had interrupted water supply. When water was flowing the showers were either cold or very hot.|2. Loo paper: may seem like a small point but we had to ask for loo paper on several occasions. The rooms were cleaned (to a high standard) daily but loo paper wasn't replaced in a timely manner.|3. Glass. We broke one of the glasses in the room. It was replaced by a cardboard cup and we were charged for the breakage. No real issue with paying for the breakage but the cardboard cup didn't make us feel like valued guests.|4. No alcohol policy- not an issue for me as I don't drink but for those seeking an all-inclusive, be advised that this hotel has a...
