Hostal niña Oly — Hotel in Departamento de La Libertad

I don’t like leaving critical reviews but in 8 months travelling this was definitely the worst accommodation we have stayed in.

We stayed in Room 1 and it was bad, in particular the shower/bathroom area was disgusting, see the photos for yourself.

A lady came from another property(we’re not sure if she was the owner) checked us in and gave us zero information on the area, how to get to the town, beach etc. and we had no contact with her or any other staff after that.

We had no water for 24 hours as they were installing a tank and no staff member informed us just one of our neighbours.

I’m giving 2 stars to be generous but at over $30 a night this place was way overpriced, spend the extra money on somewhere cleaner, more welcoming and...

This place deserves more reviews. Consider yourself lucky if you get to stay here as only one of the four rooms is currently available for short-term stays. You get incredible value for what you pay for- clean and comfortable room, just a 7-8 minute walk to the beach (make sure to take the creek shortcut instead of walking along the highway), close to the bus stop if you need go to the other beaches and/or San Salvador, relatively quiet and very friendly neighborhood. This place is basically just three private rooms. Not really a hostal in the sense of meeting people or dorms. They have good Air conditioning. The washroom inside the room is a little off with the toilet next to the wall but it’s a good price considering most things in el tunco are super expensive.
