Harmony Hotel -Your Home Away From Home in the Heart of Addis Ababa
If you're going to Addis Ababa and searching for a place that effortlessly combines comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality—look no further than Harmony Hotel.
This gem in the heart of Bole, just five minutes from Bole International Airport by the hotel’s complimentary shuttle, has become our go-to every time we visit the city. Now on our fourth stay, Harmony never fails to impress—and it keeps getting better.
What makes Harmony Hotel stand out? It’s the people. From the ever-attentive security team to the warm, professional front desk staff (special thanks to Bruke, the night supervisor), the helpful bellhops, and the always-smiling lobby crew—every interaction feels personal. You’re not just a guest here; you're friends and family.
The hotel’s rooms are modern, spacious, and immaculately clean. We were even upgraded during our last stay—just one of the many thoughtful touches that keep us coming back. And let’s talk about the buffet breakfast —a culinary highlight and quite possibly Addis’s best-kept secret. With a mouthwatering variety that rivals five-star establishments, it’s a feast we look forward to daily. (Pro tip: don’t miss the chicken pizza with hot sauce from room service—it’s addictive.)
Harmony’s atmosphere is exactly what you'd want after a long day of travel or meetings. The lobby is a tranquil haven—plush sofas, expertly brewed coffee (both traditional and Italian-style), and the soft strains of classical music make it the perfect place to unwind or catch up with friends. There’s also a well-equipped gym and a large swimming pool, ideal for recharging your body and mind.
And behind it all is exceptional leadership. A special thank you to Mr. Seleshi, the General Manager, whose presence and dedication to guest satisfaction are evident in every detail. Under his guidance, Harmony has not only maintained high standards—it’s truly elevated them.
Why do we keep coming back? Because Harmony Hotel is safe, central, stylish, and sincerely welcoming. Whether you're visiting Addis for business or leisure, this is the place that has it all—and then some.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for great service, unbeatable location, fantastic food, and comfort that feels like home. We would book again for our stay—and...
Read moreOn my first day at the hotel, I was very tired. After resting for two hours, I went outside, and upon returning, I took a shower as I had been sweating. I requested that the bed sheets and towels be changed, as the sheets were damp and I had placed the used towels on the bathroom floor. Initially, the staff confirmed they would handle it. However, 45 minutes later, I was informed that guests are only entitled to one towel and one bedsheet per day. I found this policy absurd and even offered to pay extra if necessary. They then agreed to proceed.
I had also reported that the window in my room would not close properly. After another thirty minutes, I was told the room was ready, but when I went back, the towels were still on the bathroom floor and the bed sheets had not been changed—only straightened, still carrying the scent of my own perfume. After complaining again, they reassured me it would be fixed. Ten minutes later, they claimed the matter was resolved, but when I returned, housekeeping was still in the room. Once finished, I reminded them again about the window, but they were unable to repair it. It was only when I insisted that I would call the police that they upgraded me to a suite.
On my third day, at 11:30 PM, I called to order cake, only to be told that they do not serve cake after 10:00 PM. Having stayed at many hotels worldwide, I had never encountered such a rule. Ten minutes later, I went to the reception and spoke with the night manager. He laughed and said he would “take care of it,” yet no one at the bar assisted me in the meantime. Eventually, the night manager confirmed the cake would be sent. I paid and returned to my room, but after thirty minutes, nothing had arrived. When I called the reception again to follow up, no one answered. Finally, I went back downstairs, only to find that they pretended as though the cake had just been prepared.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. It was by far the most disappointing experience I...
Read moreHarmony Hotel Does Not Honor Its Contract #Greed. For a beautiful hotel, the character of their management is corrupt. To foreigners planning to stay at this hotel, be warned!!!! To the owners of this hotel, your management is destroying your profits and longevity. We had a contract with the hotel (Manager Merhawit) for a very important event. We paid the down payment and were reserved under contract. About 3wks later, they informed us that, an individual has already reserved the spot and that they forgot to record their contract and that our contract is void. It was very disappointing news since many things were planned around it. We later found out that, our contract was violated because someone else had more people for their event. We were in a way thankful that we are not hosting an event at such a corrupt hotel under such corrupt leadership. FURTHERMORE, when we asked for our downpayment, they refused and cited many excuses, and avoided our calls and meetings. In fact, they became belligerent. These people are vile in their dealings. We managed to get our money through (prayer!!!!) Praise God. Potential customers, if you wish to stay at this hotel, you have to be vigilant and cunning - Harmony Hotel does not respect their own contract. Be careful NOT to leave any downpayment. What is also interesting is that the hotel is known for its screwed dealings by other hotels in...
