Hostel Café Koti — Hotel in Rovaniemi sub-region

Postive: The location is in the city center The place is simple and a dorm saves a lot of money compared to regular rooms and Rovaniemi There are showers, toilets and a kitchen.

Negative: Coming from another dorm in Helsinki which was cheaper than this one, I was expecting at least the same amount of service but I quickly got disappointed...

There are 10 beds per room and no way to have privacy, at least a curtain would have been great. There are lockers put just enough for a backpack and a coat, if you have some luggage, there isn't much space so put them where you can. Depending on which bed you are in, you're also gonna have difficulties to get access to a plug. The shower and toilets are not very clean, neither is the kitchen... If you want toilet paper past 8 or 9 pm, good luck, try another toilet, and another, and another... And about the female dorm (since I did both female and mixed), the windows are oriented on the street and are absolutely not soundproof ! We could ear something as simple as a loud conversation or laugher on the street, so imagine at 6am when the snowplow works underneath the windows...

Overall, the price is not worth the service, but in Rovaniemi on a budget, you don't really...

Amazing hostel in rovaniemi. Made lots of friends here. Good spacious rooms with clean linen and clean,spacious bathrooms and toilets. They provide towels but don't have any toiletries though. They also have free Finnish Sauna for guests everyday 1 hour for women and 1 hour for men..complimentary for the hostel inmates. Amazing experience. Breakfast is at an additional 9 Euros. Sunday the Cafe is closed post breakfast. This is located about 15 mins drive from the rovaniemi Airport and beyond sunset the only travel option is by cab. Post office hours the staff helps u check in by emailing all codes to the doors and gates. They keep keys in a key locker and give you the entrance code to the main entrance of the building. Very good and helpful staff here. I met a very helpful Russian man here, forgot his name. Kind and helpful. The main entrance has a number lock or a card lock .. helps block uninvited people. Safety at each level right from entrance to the room. U need card access at entrance, lift, dormitory floor entrance and even the room. Loved my time here.. very close to the bus stop for Santa Claus village and also lots of super markets and eateries around. Amazing location !...

Best stay in Rovaniemi!!! This is absolutely the best hostel i have ever stayed in. The location was perfect, in the heart of the city of Rovanieme, nearby everything, restaurants, adventures offices, shopping centers, bus stations, some touristic spots, 10 minutes from Santa clause village and Santa park, 15 minutes from airport . This means, location is just GREAT. The design of the hostel, cleanliness, maintenance, breakfast is simply, healthy and yummy. 2 options for room, single/double rooms or dorm rooms, i stayed in the 10 rooms, and it was just all i need for this trip, didn’t ask for more. Many showers and toilets in the corridor, Sauna. Last, but NOT LESS Important, THE STAFF!!! Especially “KATJA” from the staff. She was super helpful, kind and always cared that i am enjoying my time and stuff. Just a wonderful woman, you guys from Hostel cafe koti are lucky to have her in you staff:)!! So, if you are looking for a nice stay, cheap, close to everything, clean and comfortable and warm place like home, don’t you dare miss...
