Hai Long Restaurant — Restaurant in Rovaniemi sub-region

After two years in Rovaniemi, I realized that this city does not have too many choices for Asian restaurants, and especially for a duck meat enthusiast like me, this is the only place with duck dishes on the menu. They have several options for the Duck (the fried duck, Beijing roasted duck, Xian Chu duck, Chong Qing duck and the last one maybe Shuang dong duck). I tried every single of duck dishes and often regrets after that. I think maybe it's my taste and my eating habits that make me feel like this restaurant's food doesn't suit me. Not only duck dishes but all of the main dishes is served with rice. The quality of the rice was not the same every time even if I came there or order the food home. I was so sad cause for an Asian like me, I love rice so much and the rice they gave me was not tasty at all. The fried Duck could be the worst because it was super oily, Beijing duck is not authentic at all, and the three other dishes tastes pretty the same. The food is extremely greasy and unhealthy, it's hard to imagine that any stir-fried dish would be drenched in grease. I really could not finish my plate of vegetables and stir-fried pork with vegetables because the bottom would be covered in oil and I would feel extremely sick. And one thing that makes me extremely uncomfortable every time I go to a restaurant is that the waiter will speak Chinese to us. I observed and saw that she would speak Finnish or English with other customers (Westerners). But when we entered the this restaurant, she would speak Chinese. Maybe because my friends and I are also Asian, she thought we were Chinese too. But the big restaurant like Hai Long, this situation really shouldn't happen twice to the same person. That was super ridiculous and super impolite and unprofessional! I tried going to the restaurant and tried to order many times with the hope that the food would be better but the results always disappointed me. According to my own experiences, I would not come back to this restaurant and for sure I could not recommend this Chinese restaurant...
