As tourists in Dijon, we rely on Google reviews to assess where we choose to eat and spend our time and resources. We chose this restaurant because it was rated 4.2 and they could accommodate a party of 8 at 6:30pm for dinner service that started at 7pm. Except for the children’s pasta dishes, each of the dishes ordered by our party were not good. My Mothers Angus steak tasted like it wasn’t beef and was inedible. It caused her to have an upset stomach and nausea for the rest of the evening. My cousin could not finish her Texan hamburger after tasting my Mother’s steak. My cousin’s husband could not finish his chicken dish, and my beef Bourgogne also tasted like the beef was not beef. My wife and I came here after a day of travel hoping for a nice meal. We ordered drinks to start with. My wife ordered the price fix while I ordered off the menu. Our appetizers came out and they were really enjoyable. Our main courses came out ( she ordered the bourguignon and I ordered the fondant de volaille). Our meals came out and the first couple bites were amazing, until I realized my chicken was raw. I thought about eating the food around the chicken but was afraid of contamination due to raw chicken. When I finally was able to mention it to someone, they simply asked why I waited to say something (I guess I was wrong for not making a big stink). I did pay for the meal despite not eating it, and I was given a free cappuccino. I understand the hard work that goes into running a restaurant, but this was very disappointing. Ambiance (indoors) and service were very good. It was easy to talk to one another and the staff was attentive.

However, the chef needs to be replaced. I had the boeuf bourguignon and my wife had the risotto. Our three kids had the kids 3 course meny.

Everything was cold.

The boeuf bourguignon was tasteless. The sauce seemed to be mixed with way too much flour.

The risotto is nothing to write home about either.

I had fries with the boeuf bourguignon and the kids had them too. They were the saddest fries I eaten. They had no crisp whatsoever.

Please travel a little further to get a better meal. Try visiting the square in front of the “Palais des Ducs et des États de Bourgogne”. There you will find many options that are better than...
