My husband and i stayed at Odalys during our honeymoon stay from June 9-16th 2023. The front desk staff were incredible. Since we stayed 7 days, there was 1 day of houscleaning, which really we didn’t need except it was nice to have new towels. Shower water pressure was great (more than expected). Air conditioning was great too but resets during the day each day (probably so its not over running). We had to request more toilet paper & a pillow but they were so happy to accommodate and friendly. We asked them lots of questions on directions and metro and they were honest to and no issues speaking english! Very nice hotel. Only get 1 instant coffee in the room which was delicious but then we walked to a local grocery store (monoprix) for bottles of water, cream & snacks etc. because there’s a fridge, stove & dishwasher in the kitchenette. The metro stop at Lamarck station was only a 6 min walk down from the hotel and accessed every part of Paris from that station. We visited many spots DT Paris (eiffel tower, louvre, different parks & arr. via metro without issues at all hours of the night) strongly suggest a walking tour of Montemarte through the history which was amazing!. If you stay in this hotel be prepared for hills and walking and stairs. There’s about 300 steps to get anywhere if not double or triple that. Walking down to many restaurants near this hotel was a heafty walk back up because the hotel is the very top of Montemarte, 2 min from Sacre-Coeur. There is live musician that plays outside the church each night and offers karaoke to tourists/locals and many people bring picnics/wine/beer to the park there and look up at the city. It was a beautiful place to go after long day touring Paris and wind down. Embrace the Parisian lifestyle. This hotel was perfect location to enjoy that scenery and then walk safely back to hotel. Hotel was very clean and tidy - most of Paris was tbh !! Locals are very friendly as long as you try to understand the culture and respect the language. Don’t assume everyone speaks english and you’ll make lots of friends!!! We would return to stay here in a heartbeat. Hotel was loud during the days because its right next to a school, but very peaceful at night. It didn’t bother us because we were out most days and if you close the window it’s not too bad. Side note: NO BUGS IN FRANCE. Idk if this is a europe thing but something i didn’t know and am from Canada with lots of mosquitoes & knats. None of that here. Maybe the odd bee or fly. But we were so happy to be in Montemarte compared to the hustle and bustle of other busier tourist areas in Paris. For the most part it wasn’t crowded in Montemarte and we didn’t have issues finding places to eat. We ate somewhere new each day and night because there were so many options. & we never felt unsafe wherever we walked in Montemarte - including the metro!!...

We really need to share our experiences to everybody !We have been robbed during our stay. Someone came in our room to unlock our luggage and took all the money away!We are telling the truth, we are travelling for business to Europe, the first station is Paris! We chose this hotel in trip.com and see the comment is quite nice ; so we decided to go there! We just booked the room for 2 nights and later we will go to Italy ahead for the journey! We travelled with three luggages! We have carried some cash to pay for the agents fee, suppliers etc … we put the cash in individual white envelopes for each companies with the invoices , and put all envelopes into a brown envelope which it is put inside a notebook, also with a elastic band outside ! Actually it is not visible as it is cash inside , also outside the envelope there is no written words to tell any cash inside! We put this notebook at the bottom of the luggage, and on top there was a big punch of documents and folders, also there is a big box of chocolate which we intended to give to our customer as a gift !Okay, how it happened, At the first night, we checked and found everything alright and the cash were still there, so we just locked the luggage because it is all the docs needed for Italian trip so we just don’t move it!After staying two nights, we packed and carried all the luggages to Italy, during packing we just ignored to check the envelops at the bottom but just putting things on top! When we arrived Italy, we opened the luggage and take the things out, we are shocked to find all the white envelopes gone inside the brown envelope , but the brown envelope still there!!The terrified thing was all the things are put at the same location, from top you cannot see any different! Means the thief is really professional to search the things detailed and put back to the position! We also found the chocolate box was unsealed which this guy might think we stored some luxury things inside the chocolate box!We are really thinking when and how it happened ! It is a handcarry trolley which we carried all the way with us, we never left it unattended, only left it in the hotel room for these two days! Unbelievable!!We immediately called to the hotel and reported this kind of loss but the hotel manager just expressed he don’t believe it was robbed inside their hotel and said nothing to do for it !So, what can we do ? We already left Paris and tried to report this case to police station thru internet ….Really angry and helpless to have this experience in foreign country! We need to voice out this experience and hope anyone to pay attention to this hotel!!This is 100% truth I am...
Read moreWe found this lovely hotel searching for a hotel in Paris. As a frequent traveler to France, I usually would stay in the 1st at a quaint boutique hotel called Rue St Anne which was in the heart of a bustling neighborhood full of small restaurants, bars and shopping. Unfortunately, it has now been purchased and newly renovated by another company. So now what? I looked around for weeks combing through hotel after hotel, in the 2nd, the 5th, the 9th, nothing jumped out. I looked for a hotel that is safe, small, quaint, has easy access to transportation, friendly personable staff, clean and reasonably priced. Then my travel companion came across the Odalys. I was skeptical at first that it was just too far away from that bursting Paris life I have missed since the pandemic. But we hit gold on this find! The hotel itself is in the 18th, nestled just steps away from the beautiful Sacre Coeur. Nestled in this gorgeous neighborhood are corner restaurants, local bars, and stunning views of Paris. The staff was amazing, especially Laurent! He was always pleasant even when we “Tourists” were always inquiring about something or another. The rooms were large, very clean and well equipped. I had a kitchenette, complete with fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and dishes! A great breakfast spread is available for a small fee but worth it. Grab a bike or scooter, take a leisure stroll, or jump on the nearby Metro everything is right there for your choosing. If you’re feeling like a beast and ready for a challenge the hundreds of steps and winding streets will keep you in check. They are no joke! There are plenty of taxis in the area for the meek. If you are looking for a great Paris hotel in a quiet area, check out the Odalys. You will not be disappointed with...
