Edited after reading other reviews:
Ok, the people calling this a "tourist trap" haven't the first friggin clue what they're talking about.
No, not at all. I've traveled extensively and encountered a tourist trap (e.g. try just about any restaurant within a stone's throw of the Coliseum in Rome) or two in my life. This place is not a tourist trap.
If you're too dumb or arrogant and unable to adapt to the culture you're in, then you're likely to get treated poorly - or what you think is poorly. You're also going to miss out on amazing gems like Grenouilles.
I make a point to come to Grenouilles and I know food....I used to work as a chef, I've attended culinary school, and I eat at the best restaurants in the world. Hopefully this helps those of you who don't know me (most of you 🤣) grant my review some extra credence.
The staff here at Grenouilles are fantastic. I've never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic and anyone complaining about the prices...well, let's just say that while the prices are not high, the reviewers probably are.
Come here without hesitation. Just please save me some.

Read moreWe came here for a coffee, cider and a salami banquet sandwich. Food was fine but service was bad, the lady cashier was not nice, first she missed my order twice, even though I ordered 3 simple items, as if she just woke up, then she was nasty to us in 2 occasions in our short visit. Then, she didn't allow us to put together 2 high tables together (we have 4 people) when I see the other 4 people have 2 high tables put together next to us, I felt disrespected, because they can easily separate them afterwards... when they had like 4 people in a small sandwich place, but I didn't insist. I get that they did not allow my friend eating her crepes in the shop, she came in but didn't eat it there. Then she came by again and said the second time that she could not eat it there, when she wasn't really biting into the crepes, my friend went outside. In my opinion, the shop wasn't busy and there were plenty of seats, the 2 things she asked her customers to do in such occasion are not hospitable and sensible. What a shame! a shop of bad service next to a...
Read moreThe sandwiches (especially the raclette) were the best we had during our stay. It was so good we went back at the last leg of our trip just for the sandwich as we had already seen the Sacre Coeur. There's a great view of the church just from the alleyway that is the most stunning reveal if you come by the way of this restaurant. If coming up by the metro, be prepared for quite a hike! There's a substantial bit of elevation immediately out of the metro and then to scale up the hill. The raclette is melted cheese added to the baguette sandwich and was better than all the other ways I had it in Switzerland. The sangria was also amazing and cool with the hot weather. Bathroom was clean also. There are also some amazing pastries in their display case we...
