The Hotel Baume is such a gem! The neutral grey tones on the facade of the hotel give way to a colourful and comfortable art deco decorated reception and lobby. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly by Gabriel and his team. We were brought to our large Junior suite on the 6th floor which looked exactly as it did on their website, with a great, large bed, and night tables on both sides (with plenty of outlets around the room). In the sitting area, there was a comfortable sofa and lots of room to place our suitcases and a closet with plenty of hangers. In addition to room for suitcases and cupboard space + a safe and coffee machine, there was a narrow table under the television in the bedroom and a coffee table as well as desk in the sitting area, with 3 big windows that brought tons of light into the room. The bathroom which has been renovated, has a fantastic shower (both rain shower and detachable wall head), big plush towels and a vanity kit in addition to in house bath and skin products. The view from our room onto the Odéon theatre was beautiful and the street was incredibly quiet despite being very central and near many great cafés, restaurants (don't miss la Mediteranée basically across the street), book shops and numerous other interesting boutiques. The subway and the Jardin de Luxembourg are about a 3 minute walk away and the RER is about 5 minutes away, but we walked almost everywhere as you are about 10 minutes from Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle, the Conciergerie and about 15-20 minutes from the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and the Orangerie. The 6th arrondissement is such a fabulous area and the Blvd St Germain is just minutes away from Hotel Baume. |Most importantly the staff at this hotel is AMAZING! Everyone (Gabriel, Patricia, Slavisa, Hatim and others) went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. They provided extra pillows, extra hangers, called taxis, gave us dining and coffee suggestions, and replenished our water (2 water bottles in glass bottles) and towels at turn-down service. The room was made promptly and the whole hotel was impeccably clean. When we arrived at the hotel, a beautiful vase of flowers awaited us and midway through our week stay, the hotel sent us a bottle of red wine. Real class! We know that we will return to Paris soon and will definitely stay at the Hotel...
Read moreWe stayed at the Baume hotel for four nights.||We were first assigned to junior suite number 51. The room was dreary with a strange layout. Although the hotel website stated that all junior suites have either a city view or a balcony, our room had neither. Moreover, I found the bed incredibly uncomfortable. Every time I sat down on it, it made creaking noises from the springs. My experience was similar to sleeping in a hammock. The water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, and the drain of water in the sink was slow. I asked to change rooms, and this was done after two nights.||Our next room was junior suite 45. This was much better. It had a fabulous layout and a view of the city street, which is very quiet. The water pressure of the shower was excellent, (but the hot water was sometimes only lukewarm). Unlike our first room, there was no fridge or bathtub, but the absence was not a big deal in the scheme of things. Most importantly, this room had a very comfortable bed. They told me that the bed in junior Suite 45 was new, which is interesting because they originally told me that all beds in the hotel were the same.||On the positive side breakfast, though not buffet style but rather à la carte, was excellent. Day, who was our server, was extremely professional and always concerned about client service.||The people at the front desk were uniformly friendly; however, many lacked experience. Although we were the only ones checking in, check-in took more than 10 minutes. The hotel seemed understaffed and disorganized. For example, despite the fact that I gave my email address to them on at least four occasions, notices were sent to my travel agent instead. When I asked for a nearby restaurant reservation at 7:30 PM, it took them until 810 to come back with three recommendations. When I chose one of the three, they said there was no reservation available until 9:00 PM. This is puzzling since they were at least a dozen nearby restaurants that seem to have availability. We went to one of those.||My experience was very colored by how bad junior suite 51 was; if this was my only room, I would have given the hotel 2 stars. Given the quality of junior suite 45, I would have awarded the hotel a rating of 4 stars. This led to an average...

The hotel's location couldn't have been better - situated in the heart of Paris, it offered convenient access to all the attractions and amenities the city has to offer.
Upon check-in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who provided a seamless and efficient process. The hospitality extended throughout my stay was truly remarkable.
The highlight of my stay was the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel room. It was immaculately clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully appointed with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay.
Another standout feature was the concierge service for keeping luggage. My flight was late at night on the day of checkout and, the concierge graciously offered to store my luggage so I could explore the city without any hassle. This level of convenience and flexibility truly enhanced my overall experience.
Throughout my stay, the staff's professionalism and friendliness were consistently impressive. Whether it was offering local recommendations, or simply greeting me with a smile, their attentiveness made me feel valued as a guest.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Paris. With its prime location situated in a quaint neighbourhood, impeccable cleanliness, outstanding concierge service, and exceptional staff, it exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to return for another memorable stay...
