I'm quite a foodie and it was our first evening, and the reviews and the restaurant looked buzzy and tempting. We didn't have a reservation, so pleased that they could accommodate us and they had a few tables free. Instead of the downstairs we were ushered up a spiral staircase - OK lets see if this is an adventure - through a small seated area, then a service area, to a small triangle room where we realised we were being seated between other visitors not locals who seemed more settled downstairs. That's OK, except it did feel like the visitors outpost up there! We smiled at a lovely American couple next to us who had patiently been waiting for a menu, which eventually arrived after we received ours. Ok so we got the menu, and decided we wouldn't just do pizza, we decided on a pasta veggie carbonara dish and also lemon chicken - we went for a little pricier, but it was our first evening and a treat. I noticed the glasses on the table were crusty from the dishwasher, not gleaming which was off-putting Ordered drinks - one was forgotten, eventually it arrived. Then the food arrived - it was awful! I can cook and know what Lemon chicken should taste like. It turned out to be slices with a sauce poured over - a sauce that seemed a hurried and bad mix of butter and flour made into something watery, with barely a hint of lemon. There seemed to be some chicken slices and vegetables (carrots/courgettes only) and this awful sauce tipped over, then some parsley garnish - not integrated into the cooking process for taste, but to just make the plate look a bit greener, like it had been snipped off a plant. A similar sauce was tipped over my companions pasta, and the same parsley garnish. Let's say it wasn't cooking it was assembly and someone in the kitchen didn't know what they were doing or not caring. We were so disappointed and wished we had ordered basic pizza. It may have had an off night, but the idea of the glasses being crusty with sediment, and bad food means someone isn't overlooking what's going on in...
Read moreI am in love with this restaurant, and I have zero complaints at all. The staff is so great and so is the pasta! I went here with my boyfriend three days in a row for dinner and had a great time every time💗 After the first visit they remembered us and we got the same table (for the third day they almost on purpose “reserved” the table for us🥰 The waitress was so sweet and welcoming and so was her co-workers. They were very aware of us and brought us water when needed. Also the size of the dishes is absolutely perfect, I was perfectly full when leaving, not feeling like I ate too much, but also not leaving hungry, so perfect🤩
I would very much recommend this place if you are looking for a fantastic atmosphere, sweet people and good food. In addition, I definetly also will be coming back to this place! It feels so local and down-to-earth - feels like everybody is welcome🥰 Thank you so much for your fantastic service...
Read moreThere are so many great things to say about this place. My girlfriend and I was in Paris for only a week, however we ate here 3 out of the 6 nights.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is terrific - you feel as though you walked into a tiny part of Italy. However the best part of this restaurant has to be the staff. The waiters are nice, and although not all of them are fluent in English it was never a problem. The hostess is the most delightful owner I have yet to meet. She was cheerful and very happy to see us - they even remembered us after being there only once, and on the last night it felt as though they had reserved a table for us, almost as if they were expecting us. This place is without a doubt he most wonderful food experience I have...
